      Lately, I’ve been a little busy with my family stuff and didn’t have much time to work on videos. However, I’ve started making the pattern for a velvet bunny that doesn’t evolve much sewing. Hopefully, I’ll post it in the nearest future. Along with that I knitted a sweater for myself, a hat-mitten-cowl set for my daughter and a few other small accessories for my daughter.

      Hi!
      Below are some details on the yarn I used.
      I hope it will help you to find a suitable substitution))
      To make the face (white yarn) I used 100% cotton yarn Alize Bella 180m/50gr.
      Weight: Sport/Fine/2 sport
      Texture: Plied (3 or more plies)
      Fiber: Cotton (100%)

      The pink yarn for the feet and ears is called Fibra Natura Luxor (100% Mercerized cotton 125 meters in 50 grams). Yarn Weight: 3 : Light-DK: 8ply
      Composition: 100% Egyptian Giza Mercerised Cotton
      Length: 125 mts / 136 yds

    Hi, I want to know how you sewed the white part of the face as you didn't show it. Did you use white yarn or the grey yarn to see on the head? Thanks

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  3 месяца назад

      Hi! Unfortunately, that assembly part is missing and I realized too late to record it again(((
      I used white cotton yarn to attach the face.
      The white face part is shaped like an oval before it was attached to the head even though it was crocheted like a circle.
      The upper face part is put on the 13th row from the top of the head.
      The face is 11 rows wide ( counting from top down to the base of the head), 15 stitches (from left to the right).
      Mostly, it is about shaping the white part and placing it on the head in a way that you like. It might be a few stitches/rows wider/narrower.
      Nose is placed on the second last row right in the middle of the oval-shaped white face.
      There are 6 stitches between eyes.
      Hopefully it helps!
      -Iuliia

    Could I use the same velvet yarn throughout the whole make instead of cotton on the feet/face/ears? Or would it be too big in comparison? Thank you🥰

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  Год назад

      Yes, you absolutely can use the same velvet yarn. I think it might be even better.
      I did have pink and white colours in velvet yarn at the time I was making bears and that’s why I substituted it with cotton yarn.
      For the nose I would use thin yarn though.

      Yeah, I was shaping ears until I liked how they looked on the head. I just wonder why you’re getting longer ears than I did 🤔
      I think we might be crocheting with different tentions. I tend to crochet tight. You can try to crochet a bit tighter and see what you’d get. If you’d like you can send me a picture on Instagram (in private message) and I’ll try to help you figure out what to do 😉

    You did not mention in the attaching of the head to the body that the head ended with 24 stitches and the body ended with 18 stitches and I don't see in the attachment how that comes about attaching ahead of 24 stitches to a body of 18 stitches so what is the solution

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  Год назад

      Hi 👋🏻 I finished the head with 24 stitches around on purpose. When I attached it to the body it was not wobbly compared to 18 stitches. Having 18 stitches at the body actually helped to have secure attachment. It worked very good for me 😉
      However, if your work is tighter than mine you can stop at 24 stitches at both, a head and a body. I would not recommend to go for 18 stitches for both, the head and the body, though
      Good luck with your Teddy 🧸❤️

      Hi Tricia!
      I used only three colours of cotton yarn for this Teddy.
      Pink yarn: Fibra natura Luxor 100% Mercerized cotton 125 meters in 50 grams. Yarn Weight: 3 : Light-DK: 8ply
      White yarn: Alize Bella 100 % cotton yarn 125 meters in 50 grams. Yarn weight 2 sport. I used four strands of the yarn.
      Black yarn: YarnArt Lily 100% Mercerized cotton 225 meters in 50 grams. Yarn Weight: 0: Lace

    Can I ask a question please? I notice that the body finishes on 18 stitches snd the head on 24. Will this not be a problem when we try to attach the head to the body?

    • @iuliiacraft
      @iuliiacraft  3 года назад

      Actually, I did it on purpose. I noticed that a head is a little wobbly when both parts (body and head) had 18 stitches at the end. So, I finished crocheting a head with 24 stitches around. When I was attaching parts, I went in every stitch of the body and in 1 or 2 stitches (6times in 2 stitches) at once of the head. It made stitching a little more tight. Basically, I made the same 6 decreases during stitching/ sewing parts together. You can also finish crocheting a body with 24 stitches and attach parts without making decreases when you sew. A neck would be a bit wider but you can attach parts stitch by stitch.

      When I assembled the head I shaped white face like an oval first.

      You can use any black not too thick cotton yarn. For example you can use DMC® Size 12 Pearl Cotton Thread Ball. It is very similar yarn to the one I used. I just googled it and you can see an example here: canada.michaels.com/en/dmc-size-12-pearl-cotton-thread-ball/10326525.html?r=g&cm_mmc=PLASearch-_-google-_-MICH_Shopping_CA_N_Fabric+Shop_N_Smart_BOPIS_N-_-Generic&kpid=go_cmp-12650001337_adg-125437387172_ad-511040951039_pla-1007998704423_dev-m_ext-_prd-10326525&gclid=CjwKCAiAlrSPBhBaEiwAuLSDUEgneobamafK0mASZHEaGY3nlS5S3c8ekfR-2FraXHGg0teD1FFBbBoC7hYQAvD_BwE

      Try crocheting the face with the random yarn colour (the main colour for example) and measure how much yarn you used. (Like crocheting a swatch). Then, you can measure white yarn precisely as much as you need and be sure it’ll be enough.
