I love this guy. Goes out of his way too one of the worst characters in the game, and still comes out the victor in top level play. All while trolling the fuck outta his opponent.
10:19 Kuorda parries, waits a tiny split second to see if Makoto supers. Makoto doesn't, Kuroda quickly command grabs Momochi respects Kuroda's timing so does super after the initial frame pause Mindgames
Q delivers hits like a slab of concrete, takes hits like a slab of concrete (even without taunt boosts), and moves like a slab of concrete. Q is an animate slab of concrete in a trench coat.
+Max The Scrublord Nope, 3rd Strike is dead. Most if not all of the pros quit. The newbies cannot play this game at high level simply due to its difficulty. Nonetheless, it's a great game to watch and play casual online.
Y'know playing w/low tier makes you learn subtle nuances of the game such as frames and other character specific things. Reason I play Q, it takes more skill so winning means a little more when you do it.
@LordPhunbaba It is tactically sound. You see Kuroda takes a lot of risks, but he knows the odds. This is most evident in the Remy match, as he throws those supers out knowing Remy doesn't have much damage he can punish with. SA2 is high risk, but if you show you're willing to throw it out, it keeps the opponent thinking. If the opponent waits and watches for those high risk moves, they're just giving Q throw opportunities, and Kuroda takes advantage of that.
Idk if they already but his defense gets a huge boost. 3x's is the max after that all your hits do half damage just about. and its permanent till the end of the round
@yahoo1o1 uh just try to remember that Kuroda used mainly 2 characters in SBO. Gouki [the least defense character] and Q [the most vulnerable and slowest character 2nd only to Hugo]. In the first case he won SBO with.
2 bad characters in SFIII is not the same as 2 cheap characters beating the rest of the cast in SFV. In SFIII half of the cast can be champions in the proper skilled hands, in SFV underdogs with cheap characters win tournament constantly defeating legends with decades of skill experience, that is real unbalance.
@@dkblade27 I dunno about Sean, but i think twelve is unrecoverably trash. i mean,Jesus,he has a super that literally just transforms him on his opponent for a fixed amount of time
He was facing Makoto he jumped so he couldn't get command grabbed that's how she dos most of her damage she doesn't really have an anti air so it's the best defense against her fighting style of rush down.
Is it just me or is Q kind of underrated? He has what's probably the best defense in the game and very high damage output altogether. That, and, he has really good things to do once he knocks the opponent down like taunting or setting up for another combo. His grab is pretty good and overall his only real weakness I'd say is a lot of meh or bad attacks and low mobility. Also, he can take half your health in 5 seconds by using 1 super in a combo. Pretty crazy stuff but it might just be I'm a bit new to the game
@TheGosu No they aren't. They're exactly what you say in your first sentence: a legitimate way to describe a character's advantages and weaknesses. They aren't a crystal ball or a fortune cookie that foretells the outcome of every match, but they do provide a relevant relative ranking of characters in a game. The tiers basically say at equal skill levels, this is roughly how the matches tend to play out. Of course someone who's just better at the game can win with scrubby characters.
In the first round I guess Kuroda got tired of owning people with blocking so he tried owning with jumping instead. AND IT WORKED. Then he gets obsessed with using crouching fierce as a meaty attack, which actually works later on. Also, did he pick SAIII against Momochi? Is that tactically sound, or does that only work if you're Kuroda?
@DrummerFromColdplay I guess it's hard to argue with that but personally YSB has never impressed me. He doesn't go for grabs or setups that make me say 'wow' much and when he does, he seems to whiff grabs a lot more than Hayao. Choosing 720 and parrying a lot like Hayao does are obviously crowd-pleasers.
@Lawlz0rz you're right but was he known for 3s? i cant find like any videos of him playing 3s other than this sbo. no 1 ever talks about him in 3s. im not taking anything anyway from kuroda, he is a great player. he didnt lose to the player, he lost to makoto bs that takes 70% and leaves you stunned. my main dislike about 3s
how does he do the 2 straight dash punches in a row after a command grab, i can only do it with overhead and then straight but not 2 straights in a row :(
Is Kuroda a God? This guy is perfection on SF3. I need a few answers: 1)Is this being still in the fighting scene today? (You know with SSFIV or anything) 2) What does Kuroda means? (Is it his real name?)
@SeventhSun I'm not even that big a fan of 3rd Strike and was just dropping in, but was that flamebait to a 7 month old post really neccessary? I mean, what did Kuroda being asian have to do with the post you are responding too?
Kuroda is the reason I play with Q. Low-tier characters can still shake the top-tiers.
Preach
Talk about precision timing..imagine if he played a high tier 🤔
@@Serujio_X He does lol. He plays a ton of characters, but his Akuma, and Q are very good.
If you're not a high level player and not playing against high level players, you probably shouldnt worry TOO much about "tier lists."
I love this guy.

i love Q's animation after the standing parry, it's like he's saying "ew"
........!
Q just EATS your damage. Also, his supers hit like a fucking truck.
Q delivers hits like a slab of concrete, takes hits like a slab of concrete (even without taunt boosts), and moves like a slab of concrete.
Q is an animate slab of concrete in a trench coat.
ImTheDruggernaut That's probably true.
........
I love Q's Kara grab.
Just grab them like “BITCH?” then uppercut the fuck out of them.
2:38 at 0.5x speed is a real treat.
0:38 this is Kuroda
6:41 what a come back from that fatal taunt round opener
I love this game
I want Kuroda to win a tournament like this with Q so bad.
Dat come back
that fucking yun comeback was GODDAMN LEGENDARY
kuroda sold his soul to the devil for mad 3S skillz, the devil just didn't count on him becoming an immortal GOD
YES! So glad they're keeping Third Strike alive over there!
+Max The Scrublord This video was 7 years ago
TrueBluesProductions True, my comment would have been more warranted on a newer Third Strike video.
+Max The Scrublord Nope, 3rd Strike is dead. Most if not all of the pros quit. The newbies cannot play this game at high level simply due to its difficulty. Nonetheless, it's a great game to watch and play casual online.
+Diablo II Surprisingly this year will have the absolute strongest players in U.S. history all clashing in a titan battle.
dkblade27 That sounds awesome! I'm sure it'll produce some hype matches!
Still the best
Rofl I love the way Q the first round vs Remy when he just dashes 3 times and smashes the ground with his palm.
6:10-7:00 Amazing...
this made me moist
All the Yun combos in the world can’t save you now.
i am not praegnat
kuroda is the only player that i love to see turtle
6:32 huge comeback
Y'know playing w/low tier makes you learn subtle nuances of the game such as frames and other character specific things. Reason I play Q, it takes more skill so winning means a little more when you do it.
Fantastic
wow, how have I not seen this before.

I love to see high level Q play
Competitive Q makes me W E T
Wow he actually went for 2 1 bar supers in 1 round... this guy is Buddha playing video games.
Idk if they already but his defense gets a huge boost. 3x's is the max after that all your hits do half damage just about. and its permanent till the end of the round
Q is so cool! Shame Capcom doesn't do nothing with him
look at the spaz out by kuroda at 3:56.
hes like " you think you can out turtle me lol?"
Taunt increases his health. After just 3 taunts, he literally has "twice" the amount of health as Akuma (or so I've heard?).
Even more than twice LOL.
considering kuroda played Q, he pretty much won the entire tournament
3rd Strike is Japan’s melee.
that match with yun was so fucking hype
WOW awesome come back against Yun Kuroda is the best SF3 player
@yahoo1o1 uh just try to remember that Kuroda used mainly 2 characters in SBO. Gouki [the least defense character] and Q [the most vulnerable and slowest character 2nd only to Hugo]. In the first case he won SBO with.
@DrummerFromColdplay god I'd love to see hayao vs kuroda hugo mirrors, there haven't been any great hugo players since these two
I wanna be like Kuroda!
Kuroda's comeback against yun was ridiculous
yes it is... the last match is momochi vs Kuroda. YOU ARE WRONG SON
sick match. wish we had some better Q players in our crew.
that's one sick remy
The next few seconds after 6:42... damn.
a lot of people abuse sf4 players saying they have no skill. but here you have a sf4 player beating kuroda and knocking out his team
SFIII the game where the winner is determined by the player's skill not the character tier.
In games such as these, it can be argued that the lower the tier, the better the reward for skill.

What are you talking about kid, tier list is everywhere, if it was true, daigo was winning everything becuz SF V Guile is in toptier list
I don' t think s0.tier list still br important in 3s
He was facing Makoto he jumped so he couldn't get command grabbed that's how she dos most of her damage she doesn't really have an anti air so it's the best defense against her fighting style of rush down.
@knowledge561 this is the series he's from.
that boss match was a lot closer than i remembered.
lol Kuroda read those frames six years ago, son!
3:55 はえぇよw
6:46 I accidentally mid-screen
6:47 I accidentally the corner
That's how it looks, but we all know he knew what he was doing.
Grandmaster Kuroda.
that makoto ended up winning the tourney

Kuroda's team had "only" two players, right?
4:21 - i love this combo
This Q player has good techniques.
Holy fuck Momochi has a sick Makoto. I can't wait to see if he picks her up in SSF4
Q's jump jab is incredibly safe!
abuse!!! abuse!!!

Whoa, Remy @ finals
Faultless defense game is tight.
I think Kuroda maxed out Q's true abilities there~ =XD it was just a matter of tier-level that was preventing him from winning~
that was some intense makoto pressure
@yahoo1o1 Just FYI, but that match-up is approx. 8.5-1.5 in Makoto's favour.
Third strike is such a well balanced game, even the low tiers can compete.
twelve sa3: i do not exist
I never knew Yun was in a previous Street Fighter.
wonder if daigo and kuroda have ever played eachother
That Makoto is Momochi.
9:09 lol they're hold hands
damn momochi's rushdown is nasty
@123GreenBird321 its increase his defense with every taunt 3 taunts being maximum boost
Go to 8:03 to see a theoretically impossible Q rushdown against Chun-Li.
@.@ how come Kuroda looks soo much different from the clip when vsing justin wong
I KNOW!!
i wanna know who disliked this.. who would do that? WHO ARE YOU???
In the first round I guess Kuroda got tired of owning people with blocking so he tried owning with jumping instead. AND IT WORKED.

6:44 - 7:04 Fuck yo' couch...
gotta love them confidence comebacks
I can't believe he tea bagged Yakkun and Nuki with Q, *sigh* thats when you know someone is a bit tooooo good
the way he beat chun li was the best. mashed potaTOES

@C3gamingchannel I gotta ask who are the characters youre talking about. I know he has the best Q there's no doubt. Who else is he "best" with.
I thought u meant the first Makoto in this video.. NM then.
damn Momochi really scrubbed out a win here. Kuroda was always thinking ahead, but sadly lost for it.

funny how yun tried to save his genei jin for the next round and got owned :)
lol the yun was trying to save the SA for round 3 but he got owned xD
3:55 lol

Alas poor Kuroda.
Wait what version of the game is this? ps2?? and why Q theme is playing 2:55 is it possible to do that?
Arcade PCB. Q's theme plays in Event Mode (one game then game over) on P1 side, which they used for tournaments.
S.C.H 2.8 This is the arcade version and yes, Q does not have his own stage so his music will play at Dudley's stage.
Afaik tougeki was always arcade boards.
Is'nt Q a Tezuka character? i thought i saw his body double in metropolis.
Why do Q players always do cr.LP after landed SA2, before juggle with a dash punch?
hismit timing
in Japan it is...SF3TS died elsewhere.
so what is Q vs makotos matchup for Q?
8-2 makotos favor??
this video is actually a fake, the person playing Q is Justin Wong, Go Justin.
were do u see Q @ in my statement
how do you do the monkey flip > st.mp Yun thing? 6:30
wtf all of them got caught by Q's command throw.
