Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone’s presence at an event is always welcome AND notable. Even more so this time since she had been away from the sport for a few months because of an injury. But she’s now back on track - pun intended - and right on time too, what with the Paris Olympics just a few more weeks away!
It has never been a secret that Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is one of the most popular track and field athletes worldwide. After winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games after clocking a world record, she became a fan favorite in the 400m. Known for her dominating spirit and fierce competitiveness, she is one of the favorites at the upcoming Paris Olympics later this year.
When April came and the American track star was yet to make her outdoor season debut in an individual event, fans became partially worried. Unsurprisingly, there were plenty of speculations about the uncertainties of her outdoor debut, but the American athlete made her first track appearance of 2024 at the Mt SAC relays.

You would expect this video to be about the 200m she ran recently at the Occidental Invitational in LA.
She won that race with an impressive 22.38, but of the competition only Akinosun was going to be able to challenge and even she is more of a 100m athlete.
Instead, this video is mostly another recap of her past accomplishments and when they talk about her next event they even get it wrong saying she'll run the 400mH at the LA Grand Prix, when she already backed out of that to compete in the 200m instead. Now THAT 200m is going to be much more interesting with Gabby Thomas, Abby Steiner and Rhasidat Adeleke ...
Very good, yes she has already mad the statement her knee injury will no loner let her run the 400m hurdles! GOD BLESS Our Athletes!!!!

I think she knows Bol is to strong right now in 400 m open.. can't take a loss or it messes up the image..
Yes Bol will be strong in the hurdles and not it won't mess up her image will be always be know as one of the greastest 400 meter hurdlers of all time.
And what image is that? The image of a fierce competitor? That has a multi-faceted skill set?

Interesting... no mention of Femke Bol who has improved no end and is setting new world records in her build up. Someone's going to be the Bride and someone's going to be the Bridesmaid. At this stage, my money is on Femke..
