    4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
    5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
    7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
    8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

    She amazes me. Sydney doesn't look like she's running fast. It looks like she is just running an over-stride training lap, almost heel-to-toe. And her turnover rate looks slow. I guess she is just so strong that she covers a lot of ground with each stride? I mean, contrast to Abby Steiner's really fast turnover. Both successful, but very different running style.

    Nothing surprising since at 18 years old she had already run in 22.39, it's only the start of her season, she is far from being in peak form, she will run even faster in the trials! This girl is amazing.

    She is talented a Champion in the 400 hurdles (World Record Holder)
    But until she actually run a 21.60 in the 200. It's Fantasy Track.... It makes for a good discussion but it's not actual.

    YES! SHE CAN BREAK 22 FLATE IN THE 200M. HER SPEED IS IMPROVING WHICH MAKES HER POSSIBLY THE FIRST PERSON TO BREAK 50 FLATE SOMETIME IN THE 400M HURDLES IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND ALSO BREAKING THE 400M FLATE WORLD RECORD.
    HER KEEPS IMPROVING HER 100 AND 200M SPEED, OPENS UP ALL POSSIBLITIES IN THE 400M FLATE AND HURDLES.🤩

    I'm not so sure if she could be the fastest US sprinter ever, remember Flojo

    • @MarvelousIII
      @MarvelousIII  14 дней назад +1

      Of course Flojo’s 100m seems untouchable, but her 21.3 200m is already close to being broken. Flo never ran the 400 competitively so Sydney is paving her own way chasing the likes of Richards-Ross and other American greats.
      We’re having this conversation and Sydney’s main event is the 400h. All I’m saying is IMAGINE, what she could do in the sprints if she spent 2-3 years chasing these records….

    • @ronester1
      @ronester1 14 дней назад +1

      @MarvelousIII understood, Sydney is untapped potential of an unknown quantity, Flojo was actually NCAA 400m and 200m Champ going back to 1982 and 1983. So she ran her share of 400m but not so much on the professional level, However the same can be said about Flojo over 100m she only dedicated fully to that distance in 1988 and we see what the results were.

      @@MarvelousIII That's a good argument and generally I agree with you. But Flo-Jo was running in the pre-professional days. Imagine her being able to train year round, for years, with these modern spikes and faster tracks, all the weight training and technique analysis etc that athletes have enjoyed over the last 20 years. She'd be running 21.2 and 10.3s. I think Sydney could definitely go mid 21.50s but you never know how fast she could go if she focuses on the 200. I think she definitely takes the 400m WR though.

    Imagine being so "Goat'd" in your craft... that even when you drop down to one of the most competitive Sprinting events for "training", you still mop the floor with the World's Best ??!!?? Seriously!
    I'm with you, running 22.0's ( INTO a headwind no less ) and Dominating such a strong field 😨😨 Good God, this athlete is an Alien.
    I've said this before, I almost feel like she is Limiting that RIDICULOUS talent of hers by focusing solely on the 400mh at Worlds or Olympics.
    We all know she's the GOAT of 400m hurdles..... why not challenge yourself and go for the 400m Flat WR?? There's no doubt that girl could break it if she applied the same focus and dedication to that event. Not even talking about the 200m..... lol She probably could run 21.6 or faster even...?? That's the thing, we'll never know if she never goes for it.
    It's her life and her decision obviously, and she's clearly Goat'd what she's put all her effort into, but a bit of me feels like there's this untapped ability to Shine in other events and as a selfish fan.... I'd LOVE to see her go for it.

    • @MarvelousIII
      @MarvelousIII  14 дней назад +1

      ABSOLUTELY. I couldn’t have said it better. I hope she takes the challenge and lets us see what she is truly capable of as a sprinter. She can always come back to the 400h before she retires, but MAN, WHAT IF!

      I think all that 400m training will help her get her 400mh times to a place that no one will touch for 20 years and then she can go focus on the 200/400.

    • @willstuart4504
      @willstuart4504 2 дня назад

      @@alexarihani2902 True, good point. She just ran a 52.6 in her 400 hurdles debut and won by 20 meters..lol
      And No exaggeration... she genuinely appeared to be going at about 75% effort. Clearly not pushing herself, certainly backed off on the 2nd half, yet still ran a World's #1.
      52 ANYTHING up until Sydney came along was BLAZING, and she does it in the most effortless way possible to open up her 400m hurdles season. She's an alien... lol

    Did Sydney have knee surgery that I don't know of ? I thought it was just a "minor injury" as she initially announced.
    Of course the 22.07 was a great result, but like Sydney said, it was just speed "training", like a lot of 400m/400mH athletes do nowadays (although not a s fast as her).
    The 200m race at LA Grand Prix was stacked with great athletes, but also remember that the 200m specialists are early stages of building up to Paris and will be a lot faster by then.
    To go from 22.07 to 21.60 is a big step, not saying Sydney couldn't do it, but 0.4 is just a lot on the 200m. Even with a 21.60 it would be hard to win a global gold with the current athletes and I think that would be one of the reasons for her to go back to the flat 400m (after the Olympics), as she can definitely win gold there...

    • @MarvelousIII
      @MarvelousIII  14 дней назад +1

      I love your points! All valid!
      BUT
      How many 400m hurdlers do you know that can run 22.07? Virtually none. Minor knee injury or not, if she focused on the 200 it would be a lot faster than 22.07.

    • @SportsAndWeights
      @SportsAndWeights 14 дней назад +1

      Sydney clearly trains in stamina strength and flexibility when she isn't running in competitions. But if she's running I assume from what I know she probably does 250m or 500m runs. Not trying to run times but slow first half fast last half etc getting her body ready. So when she competes she will improve so much. You can't just run 400m to get better at 400. You can probably throw in a few 600m followed by a few 280 to 300s. That's how you improve. Not doing the same thing constantly. You gotta shock the body to get better results. She's near the ultimate i seen in my time.

    Does nobody see the elephant in the room? Sydney literally shifted gears in 2021 and started breaking the world record by huge margins almost every time she ran. Not unlike Flo Jo who kept breaking world records by huge margins in 1988 and who we all know was heavily on steroids. Is it coincidence that Sydney changed coaches in 2020 to Bob Kersee - the man responsible for Flo Jo's magical "transformation" and the same man known as Bob The Chemist coz he refused to work with athletes who did not take drugs? Fun fact, since then, she's been winning the 400m, 200 - events she's never even run before, beating the world's best who've been running those distances all their lives. Coincidence? I don't think so.

    I love Sydney. She is the epitome of what a pro female athlete should be. But I disagree. I've watched that race over and over. She got out and threw down. Leaning at the tape. I'm not sure she could run much faster. She even said after that she felt like she ran sub 22. Something looked wrong with Gabby in that race. Maybe some fatigue, I don't know but we all know what she can do. She has the world lead. And Abby was cruising til the last 50 and was running her down at the end. Her starts are never good but her top end speed is great. I don't think she has run full out yet. The whole season so far has been odd. Shac'arri hasn't shown up yet, Shericka hasn't. No one really running very fast yet.
