I am glad that I no longer have to drive 215 miles to play my favorite arcade game, which is Tempest. I played it last night after work. I put up the high score but I was really rusty. The game is in great shape, though! Thank you, John. :)

John, DDR Freak was referring to the Pacman 'safe spot'. The right side of the T-section beneath the ghost regenerator can be used as a safe spot where the ghosts are unable to find and catch Pac-Man. There are two conditions that must be met to make the safe spot work for Pac-Man. The first is that none of the ghosts must "see" Pac-Man enter the safe spot. If they do, they will follow him in there, and the said spot will not be safe. The other condition is that Pac-Man must be facing north. You don't necessarily need to approach the spot from the south (just to the right of where Pac-Man begins the round). You can enter from the east and quickly change orientation to point north. If you meet both conditions, you can leave Pac-Man in that location for as long as you like and move the joystick when you are ready to resume play. Marathon players of the game often use this trick if they need a break from the game.

For the gentleman with the smoking power supply.
Without plugging the game in, disconnect the 3 5volt wires going to the power supply and check contintuny between the 3 wires on the multi meter separately to make sure their's no short, and the same with the 12 volts .
If that checks out their is definitely something pulling to much voltage, either on the 12 volts or 5 volts.

The cab looks about 3 years old and just a bit moved around...pretty much new af. Stellar.
That PSU in the viewer mail should be wired to +5V and GND, not +5V and -5V as that makes it a 10V supply!

The shape of the artwork with that angle on the front edge (that doesn't quite match the monitor angle) reminds me of tempest's artwork.

Your intro with the camera angle in the start remind me of the Double Dare show on Nickelodeon back in the 90's. Where they got green slime dumped on them.

I also have a TMNT here that's pretty much in the same state as the one in your garage (if not worse), so been waiting patiently for you to make a start on yours.
Also just got myself a MK1 & MK2, MK1 was converted to Wrestle Mania, so will be converting that back.
The new game looks great, I don't think i've ever heard of it - Looks a lot of fun!
Nothing fends off the workday mondays like a john's arcade ep. Especially when it's been rainy and gloomy lately. Those skee balls remind me a lot of the ones from Showbiz around the mid to late 80's and early 90's. Looks like the original wooden balls in it too like I remember and not the lame plastic ones.
you also could use a volt meter or put fuses in on the power lines and wen the fuse blows you know what line has the issue
I remember thatcloack and dagger from the movie. It looked so hard and I was only 8 so I only got to play it a couple times. It looks like a really fun game. Gonna have to try that out on the mame cabinet/

there where other games that where converted to from other arcade games a example and a great one is crystal castles the game was converted to Australia and there was a centipede conversion kit as well as others

Hi John - looks to me like you need to adjust the monitor image width on the C&D. The left EXIT was a little bit shrouded, and the score would have been visible without too much messing about. Cool cab!
BTW is is the right defender bezel bracket. I have the same on mine.
Vermont is awesome, that's why my family is there :P. Ultra close to fixing my Ms. Pac-Man, just need to do some wiring on the monitor

looks like your horizontal hold could be brought in a bit its a bit to the right I think that's why your numbers got cut off at the top and the Hexagon didn't look completely symmetrical what this would solve

John I saw on the statistics page in the test menu to hold igniter button for 1 sec to reset. That should clear the high scores.

Hey John. I tried the pac man trick on my I-CADE 60 in 1. The trick worked for me. The route upon starting pac man is immediately right and immediately up and stop facing up.

Your viewer mail person with the power supply issue. He doesn't seem to have any ground wires attached. So if he's going from -5V to +5V, he will actually be getting 10V.... The power supplies probably don't like running without a ground and god knows how the PCB is surviving with 10V..... :0

Looks to be a great game , sort of game that gets the adrenaline going , but maybe before jumping into tgsettings try to build up skill level on standard John. Sound effects and playability is super job 👍
John you need to get to the first spot without the ghost crossing your line of sight that is the right spot the ghosts cant see you slip into the spot and you can sit there adinfinatum i used to do it as a kid
The pacman trick doesnt work on all board sets...youre in the right place though also don't
let them see you go into the postion.
