    I remember Ammos Hill in Scotland. When we came down to York for second stage, we were a lot fitter than the lads who had completed their first stage down South.
    I just attacked everything they put in front of me. I loved the 8 mile C.F.T. as you could then wear the the Combat Infantry Flash. A good sense of achievement. Not everyone can do it. Many didn't complete it. Wipe any disruptive thoughts out of your Mind.
    Positive Mind, equals positive results. Respect to you lads! Scotland was a lot better to train and live.

    I enjoy your videos, despite the Army being an old dream of mine, and now a bit more out of shape then I would have been when I was ready to apply, Medical condition unfortunately stopped me joining with an Under active thyroid at first, then years later had a kidney stone, but I still look at videos and recon I could do this, even If I was smashed afterwards, did an insight course once, got a good report, I did struggle with some physical aspects, however they gave me credit saying I never gave up and that I would have done well in the Army, is a bit upsetting but that is how life is, but yeah you seem like a great PTI, very motivational, I remember things like this to try and help me in my own journey with fitness in civilian life, loved the video the other day where the Injured soldier just kept on going and you said that is what being a soldier is about, seeing that image in my mind has helped me mentally so thank you all.

    When I do a tab I think it's better to be in the middle. I enjoyed goin through depo I always finished at the front but kept in the middle as that was best for me but I would tab past the slacking lads some times a quick double feels easier than a tab just to stretch off. Last tough tab was 8 Miller up Scotland gaeloch head at one point there was a very steep hill very steep and long. someone tried to take up a lootin van and it tiped backwards on to its side ha ha ha. The para pt's hammered us they wanted to break a record that was recorded on a phone app the record was set by runners we learnt afterwards. And they broke it and broke 50% of the recruites wearing full kit. ha ha ha. One lad decided to go beyond the pti the idiot.

      Emma Whitney don't put yourself off when you watch these videos. Instead, look at what you can achieve when you join the army. Everyone has to start somewhere. Get out for some runs and do a bit of fitness - the army gets you to the next stage of fitness so that you too will be able to do this. Be positive and prove to yourself that no matter how tough something is, you can do it with determination.

    Bit different to when I did it in 2018. Run up the hill in full kit, take rifle off, run up the hill, daysack off, up the hill, webbing off up the hill and finished.

      Thank you, the official channels sometimes don't show the full palette and hence i feel it's important to capture it in my videos.

    We used to run a hill called 10 second Hill. Is this the same hill? I remember it being mega steep but quite short: I was only 17 and never really paid much mind to where we were, I just cracked on. This is going back 22 years ago. It is great to see Pirbright after all these years.

    • @Antbiffy

      Pretty sure its the same one, probably got renamed over the years, I remember it as concrete hill.

      That was concrete hill. The first one at the bend on the range road when you come out the gate and onto the area.
      10 second is a little down the road that joins Pirbright to Deepcut.

      @schuletrip 5 лет назад

      Gaz - Ah yes, those hills joined round to Deepcut, that’s right. Some good trails around there! Thanks for the recollection! It’s all a bit blurry now I’m older 😆

    Ex RCT myself, would have been able to drive up that hill within a few minutes in a MK or TM, maybe in a foden, not at all in a stally.
