I have just watched this interesting and helpful content, thanks a lot for recording and publishing it! This weekend I have disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and reassembled the entire brew group of my Saeco Royal coffee machine. One thing to add to this video: be careful when mounting the water intake pipe (the L shaped one shown from 21:15 in the video above) - it has a weak and thin plastic sleeve for the screw, and may break (as it happened to me) when applying more than minimal torque.

thank you for this video. An o-ring fell out while i was dismantling the top part and now i know it belongs on top of the spring and hopefully this will stop the leak on top of the square piece.

thank you for the video Milen, I have a Saeco Magic Deluxe and the water spills into the drip tray when it runs resulting in a lower volume coffee with no crema :(, I started looking at the brew group and found the glass ball that was held in place by the spring was missing. Where would you expect to see leakage if this ball valve is missing, drip tray or hopper, thank you

Hey, wonder if anyone can help me. A part of my original brew unit for my Saeco Magic de luxe coffee machine broke off, so I ordered a new one with a new spring and ball valve thing. Before everything worked ok, but now when I try to make a coffee it doesn't come through. I've observed the process with the door open and see that from somewhere near the top of the brew unit the coffee spurts out, with it all ending up in the brew unit and the bit where the old grains go. When I remove the ball from the brew unit, the coffee comes through fine but obviously really weak and not nice tasting. Could anyone advise me what exactly the problem could be here? I've cleaned the brewunit and regreased everything, ive ran the decalcifying cycle with the phillips descaling solution thing, ive tried the old ball and spring. This has all been over a long time period though (since September non-functional). Gratefuly for any help - its so heavy i dont really want to have to take it to a repair shop - ive no car! I've taken a video so can provide if would be helpful. thanks.
