+USMC Asf lol, I love that scene where dooku gets chopped, I always imitate it in public 😂😂😂 and just an update, my whole dropshit fell apart, now I don't know if it's due to the poor quality or what, but the ground vehicle is in tact still, my super star destroyer is in perfect condition, so I dunno...but for 80 bucks! It's a steal! Plus using loctite with every piece will ensure it lives longer than you...

I was a Lego purist till I watched this review! Thanks for the honesty and not being lego biased! It is so refreshing. I work full time and stuff and if I really wanted to I could buy the Lego branded one but I can't justify $1000 to $100. Keep up the great work dude

Nice one. I'm in the process of building this set. Hint hint, you can fix the loose ball turrets by putting 5-6 layers of tape inside one of the hemispheres before putting it into the mount

In case that u want the ball guns to aim straight, you can attached a technique pin 1/2 in the opposite side of the ball so it would tigthen the space between the socket and the ball making it aim straight. Did it with my at-te and it works like charm

Bro I fully support this. I’ve just ordered a few sets including this one, and I have to say that I also would never pay 900 dollars for this. It’s a toy, not an investment like a stock which can make you money. I’ve always wanted these LEGO’s however the price never allowed me especially since I was only 8 when this set was taken out of stores and amazon wasn’t really used. For personal use the Lepin sets are perfect

EZCompany Collectibles for me these have been my childhood dream, coming from a lower class family this type of set was out of my price range. But even now since I have the option, I would always go for the knockoff. Not to mention that the actual bricks are the same. The don’t look any different, so why should I waste my money, you feel?

The inner child inside of me is saying buy this but the conservative inside me is saying no, but is almost exactly the same so it's really based on the fact that some of toes Lego sets cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars, i mainly love building them but every now and then I will get one down and take it apart for parts but this could save me a lot of money

As long as Lego refuses to release this model again, I will happily support the bootleggers. Besides, I've noticed the majority of the whining about these things being bootlegs comes from the ebay scalpers who are annoyed at people getting them for $50 instead of paying their exorbitant fees on the secondary market.
id normally not buy lepin but i wanted this and the 2007 mtt, now this set in the uk cost around £700 about 900 dollars where as the lepin version cost £50 now from about 300 reviews i've seen the only complaints have been the sticker quality, and the huge price difference id not be compaling about that, but having now built both the sets which only cost me £100 pound in total instead of 1300,
lepins quality is extremely close to lego some parts were a little loose, if you intend to play with the sets then go for lego yes, however if you are like me and display sets then lepin is a much better choice, they look identical to the actual thing for a fraction of the price
This is no problem to me, unless your a franchise fanatic, which if you are, you may already have these sets
exactly, id much rather have the set for the lowest price as i just display them and thats lepin all the way, when the quality is so good at a tiny amount of the price

Seen one of these online for £60, it was my dream set as a kid (which I never got for obvious reasons) but seeing the quality of it at such a low price I’m very tempted to go for it

I just bought it and ITS AMAZING!!!! Definetely worth it, also got the gunship & MTT reps and all of them are worth it imo. Even though a few pieces were messing, but only small pieces, so nothing you cant fix.
I prefer these shitty Chinese knockoffs since once the pieces get stuck together boy they do not fall apart

The only reason I personally don’t buy Lepin is because i don’t want to give my money to some Chinese company that copies lego.
I do agree that this particular set is very expensive tho.
I myself used bricklink to get all the pieces needed for the set and it costed me around €240.
This is actually less than the retail price of the set so if you dont care ablut the set being in box than I would advice you to bricklink the set together.
A few reasons why people buy Lepin because it’s CHEAP and it’s discontinued by LEGO

Personally, I believe lego has committed financial terrorism against the commoner and any child with their outrageous price-gouging of sets and individual pieces etc. I would much rather buy from China at this rate because they offer larger sets for less price, pieces and more variety, and if there are any loose parts, it can easy be fixed with a dab of super glue to the external side of any piece, let it dry, and then attach. Any loose issue fixed instantly. They actually produce a damn good quality product for star wars lego alternatives, and I've seen some pretty sweet sets that even lego hasnt made yet. Chinaman worked hard on these and deserves the sweet reward of a few bucks 👍🏻

I understand that Lepin is straight up copying Lego, but give them credit they're good. I want to get Lepin sets, they look just as good as Lego and 1/3 of the price. BTW FYI Ya' know those two side windows. the printing is supposed to connect and not act as a wall (on the walker) so just flip it around or flip the sides and it'll look perfect ;)

@@stephengoossen6060 alright it won’t stay up. So if you go on aliexpress and search “Lego dropship” the first one to the left shows a picture of a dropship with at-ot walker . Click that, that’s the guy I purchased from. It’s as good as the video here, I’ve noticed with mine, the missiles don’t fire and I had a missing piece but I ordered the missing piece from LEGO replacements.

You do know Lego has to pay licensing,marketing fees and pay their workers a liveable wage unlike the Chinese sweatshops that Lepin use. Also the quality of Lego is vastly superior to lepins.

+DarkSpoork major cons I found was warping over time, but only this one, my super star destroyer lepin is holding strong, but I live in A hot area so it might be that, other than that the instructions were off colored with the tones of gray, but once you get a hang of that, it's all worth it, I would recommend loctite in some areas that will be iffy to you if you want that security

+Star Pumpkin on my super star destroyer, it's held up super...this one...the dropships front area completely fell off and shattered, I only have the walker together but this may only me cuz of how I kept the ship SITTING on top of the walker

Prediction: In the far future 3D printing will be very quick, accurate and cheap......Most homes will have access to 3d printers. all your bricks will be 3D printed in the home or in the toystore in a matter of minutes....At that point you will essentially be paying Lego for nothing more than the instruction manuals/stickers....Boxed sets will become uncommon and most people will have access to unlimited bricks...The instruction manuals themselves will increase in value. Without lego's schematics you will probably have a hard time turning your pile of random bricks into a star destroyer.
