Younger generations playing video games can't tell real from virtual? I've been gaming all my life and have spent thousands of hours in VR since 2013. I don't take my headset off and think, "I hope I don't get hyperdicted by a Thargoid on my way to the bathroom."
Hate to break it to you, but unless you're giving commercial rights to buyers, your digital clothes and art aren't worth $100-$1k.
If you're going to bank everything you have on a social app with terrible ethics, just play Destiny. At least you'll look good. Most these digital clothes look like white drops.
Do t know why apparently it only has 30 active users
How much did Zuckerberg pay for this ad 😂
When you put your chips down on a narcissist "vision" you'll eventually realize you've thrown away your money. Meta's cash cow will fall to some other shiny bobble and FaceBook will be the next MySpace in Wikipedia.
We're gonna have no planet in a hundred years... Nahh... My avatar doesn't need air
I shall be waiting for the Chinese version of metaverse called MULTIVERSE. Where everything is cheap and free
We wake up, we eat, we go out to work, we go home and socialize in discord. Rinse and repeat. No VR needed.
Because they have clearly learned nothing from FB, Twitter, et al?
Yeh but who wants to stumble about all day in swimming goggles? 🤔
People who want their hypersensitivity enabled while 'interacting' with people still.
And getting butt hurt by crotch grabbers...lol.
@@krunkle5136 😅🤣😅
It's Second Life all over again. People who bought virtual lands all lost their money as graphics improve and made previous virtual worlds worthless and empty. Read back on news and the hype surrounding Second Life and Linden Dollar. Coca-cola even poured millions in it.
Why are you trying to promote this still it’s literally dead already.
Clearly this is a PAID FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS STUNT LOL
I think it was too soon, I think this concept needed another 10 years in the oven. Don't worry, the dystopia future is coming, just not quite yet.
If all power went out globally, so many wouldn't survive.
There are too many people in the world anyway.
Second Life?
Lol, bull.
The Zuck is going broke.
Metaverse is the stupidest idea that I ever heard ...along with nft. They think that I will change real word for some 3D Wii game ..and spend money for digital clothes.. yeah ..sure ..
I should also take advantage of stupid people with money
When electricity is gone..all of these delusion also gone!😂
Everybody keep buying land in the Metaverse, keep spending thousands and millions of dollars in the fake world, so I can buy up all the real land you didn’t buy in irl. Thank you 😘
"sponsored by meta"
The metaverse is here to keep the sheeps poor and indoors!
Brands also spent millions on the Second Life platform. 🎒
“Yes, I guess you could say I am a loner, but I feel more lonely in a crowded room with boring people than I feel on my own.”
~ HENRY ROLLINS 👏😊
😊👏😊👏😊👏😊👏
Robin Williams said that way more elegantly.
*Roblox millions*
*Land buying started in metaverse*
Are people really are going to wear digital clothing in the future?
*For the young virtual world and real world are the same*
*There's a lot you have to think about before you are putting your money in*
Even if they gave away the headsets for free MAYBE people would use them for the metaverse, I doubt they could even get half of the people they'd given them to be active users.
Pass. Zuck has proven he has no interest in morals, so I'd never wear a headset of his that's recording your eye movements to capture more ways to manipulate you. He brags about selling your info to anyone willing to pay, you think he isn't going to sell all the data his equipment records about you?
I would try it get bored and sell the headset
This thing even at a distance does not look exciting let alone playing it
I know a lot of people are getting sick of Social Media. It's not the same as it used to be. It started out quite fun (Piczo, Bebo, MySpace and MSN) and has now evolved into toxicity (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter). This Metaverse crap is going to flop. More and more people are seeing through this BS.
Come on, Zuckerberg needs to buy a 4090 and play some proper AAA games.
God is like: "You know what? I'm done. You be you, Earth. I'm just gonna start over with Venus."
Lol, when u have a lot of money and you're really bored.
The metaverse is the next big thing in the tech world, with the potential to offer multi-trillion-dollar business opportunities in the long term. Which is why brands want to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of this groundbreaking technology and are investing millions in the metaverse, as they know it's the future of online experiences.
Nice try
Money down the toilet. There's a real world outside that could really do with some investment.
invent something and then find a reason to use it, typical.
You pay a licence fee for this rubbish? Hello the world is falling apart
Meta verse is gonna go the way of nfts lol will be dead in a few years
Let's hope 🙏
Just read Snow Crash to help understand ‘the metaverse’ but there’s not really much of the story set in the virtual world. It was a bit of a slog. Ready Player One is far better to get your head around this concept
No thanks. 🤡
What companies should be invest in ? Sand? Mana?
World War 3 will have everyone interacting in the Metaverse. It's a no brainer.
“Years away..”
Try decades.
Everyone Metaverse will not be the same - my metaverse will be more realistic and user dont have to spend money or buy NFT's / land to have fun. The real future of Virtual events🔥🔥
BBC, do you realise it's November 2022?
They might have more success hiring a game company to build SAO in real life lol
When you build an online environment for a workplace, I doubt anyone would want to go digital. You don't even have free office coffee and face-to-face conversations :/
This must've been meant to be uploaded last year lol.
(Sees someone walkin 👀 around ina normal work outfit..) **puts on augmented glasses of the future allowing me to see peoples digital outfits* **feints from coolness of gg ultra armor 5000**...
UN secretary general announces “we are on a highway to climate hell with our foot on the accelerator” We believe the crypto community are the greenest community online. Together we can prove it - Klabrate World Green Metaverse
The issue will be the same as 3D TV and current VR games, nausea and headaches. You wouldn’t be able safely immerse unless you’re sat at home which cuts the user time down drastically compared to scrolling on a phone.
This isn't the metaverse. This is facebook's attempt at monetising zuck's dream of a metaverse. The metaverse will come about when there's a common language that allows different 3d worlds like roblox, horizon, GTA online, fortnite, lego star wars, second life. ALL of these are able to blend into one common interface almost seamlessly. We're a good 20 years away but it will happen.
I’m from the future and The Metaverse will change 2023
I already feel dizzy watching clips from the metaverse.
I often check in on BBC and sky news to see what the enemy of the people are doing
If metaverse is about nft, buying lands, and making as much money, than its doom from the start. Still hoping VR/AR explode.
I foresee obesity becoming an even bigger issue than it is today.
Roblox games are not "metaverse". They are just simple games that are meant to advertising sponsored companies.
Digital land? Is that in the cloud or blockchain?
Idk it's on someone's sever.
