    Great video as always, thanks for sharing. I love my wooden hoops too and I'll be looking on Amazon for the wooden ones with the ridge inside, they look great. Bye for now and happy stitching xx

    Hi maemae as you know I have tried every frame and stand there is on the market due to trying them out for companies .. i started of by sewing by hand then I started using Hardwicke manor hoops, of which I just bought new ones to replace my old ones. They are the ones I always go back to.and I like the spring ones as they don't pull fabric too tight so can let you have a sewing action.i will be showing the new ones i'm trying out soon.thanks for showing us yours and your take on them ;0)

    Thank you for all the reviews on hoops and q-snaps. I was wondering how some of these worked. I can't wait for you to do the review on the millennium frame. I want to get one at tax time.

    Congrats on getting a Millennium! Hooray for anniversary stitching supplies. : ) I hope you love it and, for your sake, I hope it fits in your stand. For mine, it took under 8 weeks to get here, which surprised me. But they're always in demand so I dunno. My BF said that shipping status never changed. He never got notice that it was en route and then it showed up at our doorstep. Love QSnaps, hate split rod scrolls and hoops, myself. We seem to have similar tastes in that regard.

    Yes we do! Didn't you get yours as an anniversary gift as well? Thanks for the info about the order status not changing I have been making him logging daily to check. It has been barely 3 weeks here..lol

    Hi Mae! Thanks for sharing your opinions. Qsnaps aremy favorites too. I cannot stitch without it. I did not know i can buy a 17 inch extender for it. Now I must get some for my qsnaps.Thanks and happy stitching!

    I decided to use it as a wreath, so I did not return it..the others in the store that I checked after that (I needds a large hoop) did the exact same thing. I even checked the ones in the hobby lobby (a completly dofferent store) they weren't as bad but still slipped through. So I got the quilters hoop instead. I am glad you had good luck with yours..I know a lot of people love them, maybe I am just too picky. LoL

    @pirateheart100 11 лет назад

    Nah if it's not working that doesn't make you picky. You know I've been looking for a really large hoop and the quilters hoops that you were talking about look great. I have a very large cross stitch project (3 feet across) that I want one of those hoops for so I'm going to look into them. I didn't want one of those old fashion wooden ones because they never hold the tension so thanks for sharing.

    Normally when I grid I mark the top but I am not gridding this one...lol so I can't tell without looking at the pattern..that's a great tip for ones that I don't grid!!

    Thanks for the video. I'm getting ready to start a big pattern and I've always used the loops. Now I'm going to take the q snaps.

    "boo" lol. my hubbys best friend is a medical delivery person. He came to the house the other day on his break to give my hubby a movie when I heard the truck I thought it was my stand when I opened the door I said oh its just you...said...wow thanks...lol

    Oh I am stoked!!!! I was so surprised, he locked the bank account down and made his own paypal account so I wouldn't know...Our bank does security checks for their online banking periodically making us call in to verify it is us getting online..so when I couldn't log in, I thought that was it...little did I know he was going through all this trouble to surprise me!! I check the site daily to see if the order status has changed to "shipped" LoL. Do you know if the status changes?

  • @StitchingMae
    @StitchingMae  11 лет назад

    I did this once, I commend you! My hands were cramping too much, guess I was pulling too hard to get the tension I like...but then I think I like my stitches too tight.

  • @StitchingMae
    @StitchingMae  11 лет назад

    I don't love or hate the spring hoops. Isn't it funny how some people love tight tension and others love more loose tension. I can't imagine hand sewing. I tried it once with a smaller project and my hand was cramping...LoL!! I probably pull my stitches too tight and that is something I am working on..LoL

    I try to keep my subscriptions up to date for users who make videos, for the most part if I am subscribed they have made a video that I found interesting. Some make more than others! There are a few that aren't Cross-stitch related, but I still love to watch their videos. I think like maybe four of them aren't cross stitch related. I am afraid if I name people off I will forget someone that I watch that just hasn't made a video in a while. Also I find more videos by watching (continued)

    I love the qsnaps. But mostly I stitch in hand.

    Thanks for watching! Oh the ones that I am showing aren't wooden sorry. They are plastic I guess I should have been more specific. I am sure they make wooden ones as well. These are really "quilting" hoops which is why bolt is so long, to make room for the thicker fabric. This brand is "Morgan".

    I recently bought a set of q-snaps. The tension is great but I find it very difficult to remove the clap (snap) part once it's on the fabric. I'm worried it'll ruin my stitches. Is there an easier way of removing the snaps?..

      I use felt between my stitching and clamp. I sometimes use the felt to pop off the clamp. Will try to show that in a vid next time.

    On new stitching - snip the right top corner so you will always know that is the top.

    Awesome videos! I'm currently working on a big project with hoop. but I notice when I'm working over stitched area, the hoop leaves hoop mark behind and it's really hard to make the fabric flat even with ironing. any good suggestions?

      +jyjennyk I answered and asked for other tips from other stitchers in my latest video!!

    My favs are the qsnaps though...but my fav hoop would be the morgan quilting hoop.

    hi love ur video I noticed ur grid ur wip what do u use to grid and does it wash out.

    • @StitchingMae
      @StitchingMae  8 лет назад

      +Vicki Pickstock Some I do grid...some with marker and more recently with sully sliver. I have only had an issue once so far with it not washing out and that was because I used detergent before rinsing out the grid marks.

    I've used the large Hoopla Hoops (Susan Bates) hoops for years and never had a problem. There could have been something wrong with the one you had. You should have returned it there was probably just a flaw or something.

    (continued) by watching the activity of the people that I am subscribed too, if they comment on a users video that I am not subscribed to I go to that video to see if it is Cross stitch related. Hope this helps!! A lot of the people who comment on my videos have videos themselves as well!!
