  • In today's video I am unboxing and testing a Gulf Mobile & Ohio Alco DL-109 HO Scale locomotive by Walthers. This is part of their older Proto 1000 line that is similar to today's Walthers Mainline locomotives. Not a lot of details but runs very smooth.
This locomotive (and a few other locomotives) are up on ebay if you are interested.

Very nice. That locomotive was alco’s first diesel. Unfortunately it was a failure.

It was their first road diesel, they were making diesel switchers years before they made that

Can I ask what radius that curve is I am looking at buying one of these engines and I have the tightest curve possible for ho scale and wanted to make sure this engine could run on my layout.

22 inch radius. It might run on 18 inch radius, but I have never tested on that tight a radius.
