Super Cozy & Relaxing Restorative Yoga | 1 Hour of Bolster Bliss

I invite you to join me for this one hour, super cozy and relaxing restorative yoga practice. We hang out in only a few poses for 5-20 minutes and prop the body generously. We aim to quiet the muscles, quiet the breath and quiet the mind.
So many of us are in a constant state of heightened stress that we forget what it's like to fully relax. Many of us struggle with chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, infertility, insomnia, anxiety, etc...restorative yoga can help us re-learn the relaxation response and break the cycle of physical/emotional pain.
Practice Outline:
Basic Relaxation with Legs Elevated
Supported Bananasana
Supported Fish
Basic Relaxation
Props:
3 Blankets (at least)
1 Bolster (or a thick rolled up blanket/pillows)
2 Blocks (or books)
1 to 3 Eye Pillows (or face cloths)

I’ve been practicing & teaching Restorative yoga & meditation for years and years.
And I’m still surprised at how few TRULY gentle and cozy videos are available on RUclips.
Because this is the essence of this practice: lots of props, lots of comfort & ease, warm & cozy & relaxed atmosphere.
And oodles of time.

Thank you so much Brittany for this wonderful restorative class. After a very stressful morning worrying about family members with the coronavirus, the election & unexpected dental problems this class was just perfect. I gathered up my mat, bolster, blocks, blankets & eye pads closed my eyes while I relaxed in these very restorative postures. I also listened to Xumantra’s Chakra Singing Bowls which was perfect for your class. You are a fabulous teacher! Namaste🙏❤️🧘♀️

Hello Melinda! I currently have two bolsters. The one I used in this video is made by Dusky Leaf and is very good quality. I purchased it about 5 years ago at a local yoga studio and use it many times a week and is holding up well. I have a smaller one that is about 7 years old and is made by Half Moon and is also excellent quality. I would highly recommend either brand! There are many types/sizes of bolsters so it would be nice if you were able to try some at a store/studio. Depending on your anatomy/needs some bolsters may feel way better than others.
