If I remember correctly Michael came up with that line. He said he was emotional because it was his last scene with Tom. He and Tom and pretty good friends
The music when Clark arrives at the Fortress and Lex turns around, oh my word, it's a thing of beauty. 7 Entire seasons we've been waiting for that moment, and for me, it did not disappoint. When Lex mentions about how he would've helped him become a hero, while that seems very thoughtful and nice on the surface, that's not what Clark wanted. He's naturally quite a selfless person, barely takes credit for anything he does and only uses his abilities when he needs to (which is all the time really). Back to the point though, when Lex says that, it almost sounds like that if they did go back in time and Clark told Lex everything, Lex would not give Clark a choice in the matter and after denying his help so much, it would only speed up the process of Lex eventually trying to kill/killing Clark. We know Lex is a very jealous and obsessive control freak, and Clark's powers are at the forefront of his obsession (we saw what he was like during the season 5 finale before the dagger released Zod). Fantastic reaction though, I look forward to your season 8 reactions and the juiciness that follows.
Great comment he might of gone crazy cause without Clark there he lost it but there will always be a part of me that believes they could have been friends if Clark was honest from the beginning
@@lostgamer1261 me too! The writers couldve chosen to either have Lex be obsessive even if Clark told him from the start OR Lex couldve just let Clark be. If I were a writer, Id choose option #2
I really like how they kept true to Lex's interpretations and, with them, his motivations from the comics. He sees himself as a hero in this moment, but he's twisting what actually happened, neglecting the role he played in Clark's "distrust" of him. However, Clark only really told one person, and it was never really about trust but rather protecting them from the burden that they would have to carry in knowing the truth about him. Not to mention it was never their right to know, something both Lex and Lana never seemed to understand or accept.
A line was edited out that harkened back to season 5. When Brainiac says to Chloe "I remember you. Always sticking your pretty little head where it doesn't belong". He was referencing to her interfering in the release of Zod and his scuffle with Clark back in 5x08 "Solitude"
Yea it was initially gonna be 15 episodes bcos of the strike but after the strike ended they were able to produce 5 more episodes totaling it out to 20
THE HUG ugh it just shows despite all the teases and jabs, she loves him so much even just on a friendship level- and how she was there to hold him as he cried like he was there for her when she cried over Oliver

If you watch it again. He says “I love you like a brother, Clark”. Not “I loved you”. Hurts even more because even after Lex did some horrible things in the past. He still had a great deal of love for Clark. Definitely need to give Michael Rosenbaum an Emmy for this entire series. Such an awesome character arc from Season 1 to now
This finale was probably when the most emotional and epic they've ever did,by the way the only reason why they only have 20 episodes this season is because there was a big writers strikeaffected all the shows it got so bad that you both Jimmy Fallon and Jay Leno both agreed to be guest stars on each other shows.
Dude what was really scary as a viewer was that the show almost got cancelled after the season 7 finale. Could you imagine not knowing what happened after that? Unfortunately it was because of the departure of Michael Rosenbaum and Kristen Kruek.
Lex would have used Clark to gain power, the episode where they showed us what would have happened in a world without Clark, Lex used Kara to become president.

BeyondEnchantment .I understand, but it’s just strange that Clark kept going back to jor-el then denouncing him. Just to disobey him. I don’t think jor-el was the perfect parent but I understand his point of view.
As I've said many times. Intelligence is not a Kryptonian trait. Clark could've burnt Lex's hand faster than Lex could blink. These are the parts of the show that are inconsistent and make no sense.
@@oliviarogers3559 Exactly! It's the most forgettable season by far with all the changes and characters leaving the show. At least Clark and Chloe are still there.. lol

I hated that Rosenbaum left the show after this episode. I can't wait to see your reactions for Season 8
