Never thought I would watch a 2 hour video of a car dealer, but Carl is more than that, not just a passionate car connoisseur, but a very well-spoken business man who is absolutely entertaining to listen to. Finally, refreshing someone to speak the truth, I cannot get behind the electric car game, the sound, the smell of exhaust, the shifting of gears, the curves, the exotic looks, and then there were the posters I had on my wall as a kid. What is so refreshing is my kids are the same, my 16-year old daughter, loves the cars from the 60's and 70's, my younger son, he loves the exotics...neither are interested in the 'boring' EVs. I miss the F1 racing sounds from even 10 years ago, electric just does not do it for me, no soul.

With a Porsche if you get that 2 am phonecall to be somewhere - by 10am - you'd take the Porsche - it would get you there without drama ( and some fun thrown in ). With a Ferrari you'd have to think hard then leave it.

Every 100k in a car will cost between 5%to 10% a year (or more) before other costs. Very few investment bring this after tax…this is part of the reason of the crash. Buy the best you can with your money and you can enjoy it without worrying. Cheapest way is to buy it outright…Well said

A really enjoyable watch….what really resonated with me is Carl’s belief that he has to make it enjoyable for people to spend their money…..that’s why people like him exist and it’s the single thing that these Uber brands and their agents have lost sight of….Porsche, Ferrari, Rolex, Ap, Hermes. The customer experience is just horrible. There’s nothing worse than being treated with what verges on contempt when making an expensive purchase. I don’t buy watches anymore because of it.

I am fortunate to have purchased a 997.2 GTS in 2016 last week I was asked at a Porsche dealership if they could buy it for a client for £59.000 I paid £45.000 for it, So research is important, on flip side Depreciation on a BMW M4 was brutal but it was leased.

I initially wrote some negative stuff about Carl. A 6 hour drive listening to him on various podcasts has given me a very different view. His take on the GT3 RS “where are you going”? 😂.
Such incredible advice on cars. Seems very grounded and down to earth. Yes he’s been handed a lot but he’s then made it better, very few can say that.
I left a scathing comment here and after listening to Carl and his dad talk I realise I was very wrong.
    A great family, very inspiring.

Carl seems a genuine & interesting guy. The sort you'd happily buy a car from. But YT mechanic Mat Armstrong already opened up the world of getting spare parts for supercars on the cheap when he rebuilt his Lamborghini. Audi, Ford, & Volvo parts fitted it, saving him thousands. I'm sure many of those supercars also use parts from other cheaper brands parts bins.

What a wonderful chat. Loved it! however as I do agree with Carl that Porsche Turbo S is boring as a perfect wife...GT3 (not RS which is too grippy!) is like a perfect lover! You dont have to go 200mph to have fun with it. Quite the opposite. Traction off. Mountain Passses. Drifting in slower sections. The sound of GOD at 9000rpm and great looks. I cannot believe petrolhead woudn't appreciate it.

He was apologetic over the incident, served his sentence, and it’s now a spent conviction, done and dusted, at 5ft 6 and given daddy’s money it’s not surprising he comes over as arrogant especially in his 20s

I think he’s just confident in his own and of course his families field of expertise in successfully dealing in luxury cars long term.
