Thank goodness everyone was okay. You never know what could be around the corner. God Bless the FDNY.
Thanks for watching
Amazing footage. I'm glad everyone was okay
For sure!
Thank you Skyler, a good thing you were there. The collapse was scary.
For Sure Thanks for watching!
Watching the guys run to assist their brothers…
Typical FDNY 👍🏻
Thanks for watching
I never thought the window AC unit incident could be topped.I stand corrected !Great video thanks
That was a rough one for sure! Helmets 🪖 saved that firefighters life tho!
Great video Skyler! Man that was close. Most of us just assume those overhanging signs are part of the building. Not me anymore. Glad all the injuries were minor.
For sure thanks for watching
Your hard work in posting the FDNY'S Work is much appreciated !
Thank You for your dedication in continuing to do so 👍
My pleasure!
Great job Skyler, FDNY, EMS and NYPD guys👏🚒🚑🚓
Thanks
@@SkylerFire Hi Skyler 🤝 You're welcome
Wow. Unfortunately, i saw that coming about 5 minutes before it happened and wondered why the hell they didnt make everyone stand clear of those awnings. They were compromised from the fire to begin with and then on top of that, they flooded them with hundreds of pounds of water, and then poked the shit out of them from above... how did they not see that coming?? They're very lucky that awnings dont weigh much... also lucky that no one was looking up when that happened. Luckily everyone had their helmets on!
Thanks for watching
Skyler, the clear communication throughout between the members to get the tasks done is great(especially earlier on between the deputy chief and some of the other members) was very nice to see.And you hate to see something such as a piece of storefront come down on anyone, very scary to see;the urgent teamwork of the FDNY members is what folks come to expect on any situation of life, people coming together to help. Thanks again,Skyler.
Thanks
Wow those guys sure earn their money glad no serious injurie's be safe
Thanks
Just when you think you're on easy street, the devil gets you. Glad everybody's ok.
Thanks
Great job and thanks for posting FDNY are the best . I thought shipboard fire fighting in the Navy and 17 years for the US Maritime Administration in NJ Fire School . and my partner was a FDNY retired Captain we had a great time together sad to say with all the close calls he had fighting fires in NYC he got killed in a auto accident .
Thanks for watching
great coverage skyler. thank you so much for sharing this situation
Thanks for watching
That’s was hard to watch so glad there weren’t serious injuries. Stay safe everyone 🙏🇺🇸❤️
Thanks everyone is okay minor injuries!
I pray that everyone is doing alright. For sure, they will feel it tomorrow. God bless all firemen who risk their lives for others.
Thanks, 3 firefighters minor injuries.
Sidewalk is always in the collapse zone. Lucky
For Sure Thanks for watching
Completely foreseeable, pouring water into a container bolted to the facade which was ALREADY leaning out. Safety Command will be watching this video tonight.
Thanks for watching
Skyler, I hope that the FFs caught are ok? That is what PPE is for! I have pne comment that counts. The nozzleman on the second floor was flooded the ad signs from above. As can be seen, where was all the water going???? Not threw the signs!!!! The video didn't show if fore had taken out the signs structure. No drains in the signs!!!! Just holding the water!! A good lesson on any fire scene, where is the water going?
If you look carefully, guy in the Tower's Bucket was banging at the supports with a New York Hook when it failed - it's just barely in-frame
Thanks for watching
@@bradhole4539 yeah, what were they thinking with other members stood directly under it? Probably not "I'll just keep hitting this until it falls on my mates' heads".
Great video Skyler
Thanks!
All the best to the firemen! This was heart - stopping indeed! Shows again that this is one of the world's most dangerous jobs! To remove this steel rolldown gate, an excavator would have come in handy. Or a forklift! These hooks might almost always do their job, but I think in this case one would have needed something different.
For that extra support in case of a larger fire, we have the so - called "Technisches Hilfswerk (THW)" in Germany, or "Technical Support Units." They helped to get New Orleans dry again after "Katrina."
And Mr Tegtmeier is even not wearing eye protection while handling the power cutter! What would OSHA say to this?
Thanks for watching
@@SkylerFire Thanks for this very interesting footage. Camera focus is as always perfect! All the best!
@@jurgenkuhlmann9194 thanks
@@SkylerFire 🙂
Got your video on a official FDNY site.
Awesome! Thanks for watching
The Brothers got lucky on this one. Glad no one was seriously injuried. Great video Skyler. Did you guys go back for the 2nd?
Yes just got back. Thanks
Great coverage! Keep ‘em safe
Thanks, will do!
who’s the guy in the bucket who hit it from above with his pole, not a smart move with people underneath it glad all were safe
Don’t think that was all it. Was also a lot of water inside that wasn’t going anywhere.
No wonder it collapsed, look at all the water weight on those ….
Thanks for watching
GREAT VIDEO TYLER NICE JOB
Thanks
Glad it wasn't worse. Looking at the 2 special calls, they should have just done a second alarm.
Yeah sometimes you just don’t know
Damn😳
Yup
Well I sure as hell didn't see that coming.
For Sure
awesome catch
literally.
Thank you very much!
What is the Watch-Line Engine used for?
To watch the fire building incase the fire starts again which it did
@@SkylerFire Thanks Skyler! Great coverage as usual.
@@SkylerFire did they have a flare up at this fire where the watch line engine called more units to the scene?
Litterally 2 seconds to recognize/respond.
Thanks for watching
16:12 as well... ladder hi the roll up door 😬
Yup
8:30 if you are looking for the collapse
Yup
Damn 44! 🤣
:)
I saw that collapse coming a mile away. SO obvious, where's there safety officer. He needs a talking too.
??? I Watched that scene 5 times, saw nothing
Are you for real? You saw nothing like the rest of us. No one saw that coming. Typical keyboard warrior.
Safety Officer was not on scene yet.
@@schasney1915 So what did u see big shot
@@richardmeo2503 Not a big shot by any means. I am a retired career firefighter/paramedic. L 2687. No one could tell the signs were going to drop. You had the bucket overhauling and from my standpoint the signs appeared to be stable. They weren't shaking or off set. Once again I am not a big shot. So what do ya got?
8:32 OH SHHHHH!
I hope everyone was okay.
Everyone is okay! minor injuries
Very good. Thanks for letting me know.
Collapse happens right after 8:00 mark.
Yes thanks for watching
