    I've a 37qt....Works Great,!!! Very satisfied!....I REALLY LIKE the handles and top!...like the LED light...like the chain that keeps the top from flipping back too far....like the reinforced corners....very tough...like the way the compressor is vented thru 3 different sides...Really like the bluetoop app.....like the overall physical size....not too big nor small....IDEAL UNIT FOR ME!!!

    nice, man! This is exactly the type of configuration I've been wanting on my 4runner. I'm a bit paranoid about break-ins and not being able to conceal the fridge and a battery under the cargo cover with the larger ARB and Dometic offerings is just begging to have my car broken into. I think this will work great - thanks for the review~!! (Also, the other offerings are way too expensive...)

    • @practicalguy973
      @practicalguy973 4 года назад +2

      Be careful on both Amazon and Ebay. There are many fakes, refurbish and exchanged/used ones sold as new. I'm not talking specifically about Aplicool, just any purchase in general. I got 2 brand new products from Amazon this year. One was a CPU cooler and another a flashlight that were new shipped and sold by Amazon and opened and used items! Ebay I got fake dollar store headphones that had Sony branding fake printed on them.

    Eco mode enables variable speed on the compressor. It will slow down and speed up as load changes. I work on refrigeration equipment on a daily basis. The only big issue with these fridges is the refrigerant they use. They use r134a so their performance at low temperatures can be poor. Getting from 80⁰f to 40⁰f is nice and fast but getting from -4 to -10 will take a long time.

    I bought a Apipcool C15 for my sailboat. Since it is winter it has been sitting here for 2 months.
    What i can say is it looks like the 35 is the same unit with volume added above the exterior seam. It runs at 50watts and once it is cool (with a thermal load) it cycles for 6 minutes on and about 20 - 25 minutes off set at 28 degrees F. I am anticipating it using less than 25 amps a day
    Based on this, I'm confident I can run it 24/7 with a 100w solar panel and the deep cycle batteries i have aboard (225 AH)
    This is a game changer for me and my sailing. Enjoy it and thanks for the video

    Why does nobody test these properly? Even a house fridge says let it run for 8 hours before using I'd like to see one of these run overnight 24 hrs whatever it takes to chill the contents then see what the actual temperature of the contents are. For instance milk needs to be cold to stay fresh. Some models tested with frozen foods would be nice. Also some models have duel zone fridge and freezer so an extended test would be more informative.

    • @GoldenFleas
      @GoldenFleas  4 года назад

      Before I actually use this I let it run in the house for a few hours to get to temperature. This was just an unboxing walkthrough. This is not a dual zone. Again, look at the price point.

    cant decide what size to get. I think I could get away with the 38quart but the 53 quart is only 4 inches taller. Usually solo and my dog for up to 5 days mostly but I occasionally take longer trips and an extra human to feed.
