I went to the same junior high school as Frankie (Stitt JHS 164) in the mid-1960's and one of my teacher's used Frankie's downfall as a warning to us to steer clear of drugs. I saw a lot of lives destroyed by heroin.

It was a shame that he died so young of a drug overdose at 26 years old in 1968. Sometimes being a singer and a musician is really tough in the music industry like being on drugs, alcohol, spending money and you lose everything like your house and all your prized possessions too!!!!
