Just recently discovered OBS Studio as I transitioned from Windows to Linux (Linux ROCKS!!!) and searching for Linux software. In doing so, discovered your videos. Your videos and examples are great! I just recently retired and computers have been my livelihood as well as my hobby and retirement isn't going to stop me. In fact I have the freedom to have more fun. Thank you for all the work you've put in to your videos. I'm having a blast!
Awesome Tutorial, i try today and can copy this technique, for the text, I use 2 colour source on top and bottom for repositioning text. I'm still need to learn alot about text and other plugin.
@@ScottFichter please make a tutorial create mask for blur effect using free software, i.e. inkscape or another program. Note: mask for blur stream FX is hard to find, when we using normal mask, that's make my face blur ...
Nice tut, Scott. It is however possible to improve this. You can do this with only one filter on the text source. Well actually two if you want an easy way to reposition the text source to its starting position. Set the text source to contain the text as you want it to look. Give the text-source the visible space so it equals one or two lines of text, depending on what you want it to look like. Enable 'Transform Relative' and get the transformation with a click on the button. Move the text source up so that it now displays the next piece of text you want to see. Get the transformation again. In the Actions box set 'Next Move' to the filter itself, and 'Next Move On' to Hotkey. Go to the settings and set the hotkey you want to use for the transformation. Now set the text source to it's starting position. Use the hotkey and check to see if the new line of text is right where you want it. If the new line of text is higher or lower than intended, open the filter and adjust the transformation's y move parameter. (You can use decimals here) You might want to add a second filter that repositions the text source to its starting position and assign a hotkey it.
Frank, the viewers of this channel are so intelligent. They are telling me this functionality can be accomplished in only two filters. I'm going to need to make a new video on this.
now i can spin my church logo all thanks to you, how about scripture? is there any way to add the whole bible in case of urgent need, whereby you just search, just like we have in presentation software.
I use a presentation software and have it connected to OBS through screen images. I can search for Bible verses quickly on there. Is there a way to replace your text file with that, or would it screw this system up? I like how the image shows up above the text.
You can "Duplicate" the filter and save yourself having to select the common parameters every time. Also, I think there probably is a simpler way to do it with just one copy of the filter and using Relative transform....
When u reset the control panel does it effect everything on obs? I forgot to import and past to notes etc. I hope I didn’t screw up everything that was already in place before doing all this.. Also, I lost my logo on the first animated line. I was changing the fill color drop down box and hit something wrong
Is there a tutorial to make Lower Thirds on OBS via ProPresenter version 6? Or, how can you actually let your lower thirds project on your stream simultaneously as an in-person setting?

Outstanding Leo! I need to make a new video that highlights this concept. Thank you my friend.
As always a great vid...."Move Transition" is so versitile!! It does a lot more than just "move" things around.

I'm in the fight Mourad! It's hardwork. Your comments keep me in the right mood to push harder. Thanks brother.
This is good stuff, Scott. It's a little complicated, but good. I suppose I have a love-hate relationship with OBS.
Yep, I missed a step that would have made it a bit more simple. Copy and pasting of the first created filter.
Thanks good job.
Welcome
Thank you, Scott. Appreciate that you made this video.
My pleasure! - Best wishes.
Thanks for this!
My pleasure!
Awesome. I've been learning a lot from your channel. Thanks! 👊
Glad to hear it!
Brother as I am adding filter
It is showing that
" THIS FILTER ONLY WORKS ON SCENES AND GROUPS " what to do please guide 😊
That sounds like a ton of work every week with roughly 4-5 songs + Scripture and any points the pastor makes. Is there an easier way using OBS?

There are many other software programs that do this. I will be working on new tutorials soon. Thanks Lori.

Eddie, can you elaborate what you mean by in-person setting?
Hi how much money have you made from RUclips so far??
couple thousand bucks. Not as much as you might think. It's quite disturbing how much money YT makes off of us.
