Top 10 12 Points = Italy ( Perfection, pleasant vibes ) 10 Points = Azerbaijan ( Love this song, the traditional violin and instrumental just blends well with his voice, the other guy adds to the song with the ethnical voice sound, the song just flows perfectly ) 8 Points = Switzerland ( has a potential to be a magical and captivating performance ) 7 Points = Ukraine ( her voice and the rap part for some reason works so well together, and such an emotional and meaningful lyrics ). 6 Points = Belgium ( It is just not higher in my ranking because it takes too long for the epic last minute. It has potential to go higher though, he seems like a great performer ) 5 Points = France ( this is how a voice elevate a song, simply powerful ) 4 Points = Norway ( beautiful chaos, love the instruments and the rock/nordic vibe ) 3 Points = Israel ( the simplicity of this song stands out somehow among the package this year ) 2 Points = Albania ( very generic pop song, but in a good way - there has to be one generic always in someone's top, right?! I'm sorry but a genocide is not a political matter. Imagine this taking place in the 40's in a situation that is all too similar - would your opinion be the same? Would you have voted for Germany? Supported it? After all, a singing contest wouldn't have anything to do with "politics", no? I would have liked a more detailed analysis of why each song gets its place because I'm only hearing "this song is great" and "that song is great". I however like to see diverse predictions and this is one of them
As a belgian I'm very sad to see a lot of people trying to discriminate my country bcs of pre parties... Mustii can sing very well The song is very difficult to sing bcs it's not just a basic ballad song and that's why it's very original. I think Belgium and Austria might just fall out of the top 10 and be replaced by France, Lithuania, Armenia, or even Georgia (those vocals!). Other than that I would probably swap around some of your picks, but they all seem realistic to me. A lot of people are criticizing Mustii for his live vocals, but I think his biggest issue will be the performance, and how to build it up to maximize impact. Kaleen is the other way around; performance will be fine (maybe even great), but her vocals might not be salvageable.
Great top 10 or top 11! Among your comments, I feel really related to what you say about Norway. I was not feeling any connection to the song initially. But then I went to Barcelona Preparty and boom!! Wow... They are incredible as a group and she is a total performer!!! And Greece and Italy this year are giving me everything.
