The Cable and harness starts at 25:30 I show you how to build the parts before then but if you are only interested in the cable and harness and not knowing how to make the parts then you can slip a head!
From having no idea of harness to be able to start doing stuff by my own only with one master class! Superb and right to the point. Was able to learn at least 5 more things! Master!
Howzit. I take it that the construction has to take place as an assembly in the "Cable and Harness" Environment and then broken down into individual components (enclosure and connector) with the use of the 'new solid' icon within the Extrude function? Is there no way of starting the items out as individual .ipt components and then converting them into "Cable and Harness" components - similar to what you can do when converting a standard .ipt part into a sheetmetal .ipt part? When starting the assembly in the "Cable and Harness" Environment and wanting to save down different subfolders seem to get created - AIP and Cable and Harness - what are these actually for and how best are they utilised? Cheers
Very nice video! i need your help: when i enter in the harness environment the model (box and connectors) turns into wireframe style. I would like to maintain the color visualization also in the harness enviroment . How can i do? thank you so much!
I'm using inventor version 2019, and I cant get the harness panel to show up, even when I right click on show panels, there's no harness option. did it get moved in later versions of inventor?
@@specsarena1124 I am on Inventor proffesional, education licence. The harness menu is different in part mode than it is in assembly mode. If you double click on a part in assembly mode, it should revert to the toolbar you get in part mode. It is a bit tedious!!
@@specsarena1124 its a trial version off their site of 2019 professional. i have an interiew tomorrow in the harness department and im gonna have an inventor quiz, HELP !!

Do you know why my "Cable and Harness" button would not be lit up? It won't let me click on it
Start a brand new assembly with no parts in it and see if the cable and harness environment is still grayed out.

Is the software Inventor Professional?
