I have an FF, for some reason I always thought the Lusso had electric steering because of the new 4wd steering system and how different the 2 are in steering feel. I would try to have the alignment checked if you haven't before? Over time especially in rough terrain that can get slightly off and would have a noticeable effect on steering response, especially if the rear wheel steering is slightly off. Keep up the great work, big fan of your style or videos!
Amazing machine mate! A friend of mine has been using a Lusso daily since the end of 2018, what a wonderful car! Especially after he put suspension and Novitec exhaust! And great content!
Congrats on the soon to be addition to the family and welcome to the LUSSO life! I got mine in March and have put 11K miles on it this year… as a tall guy I absolutely love it!! I daily it here in Chicago and swapped on Sottozeros last month.. it’s an absolute game changer!! It’s the perfect daily year round!! Highly recommend an X-pipe and valve controller, and it did not void warranty here in the US, cheers! 🦄
Sam, did you get the geometry/ tyre combination issue sorted, or at least get an update on it? I test drove 2 Lussos and on the 2nd one the steering felt a bit twitchier and more prone to shimmying mid-bend on poor road surfaces. Is that what you experienced?
Stunning car, great colour for it, especially like the interior. Like me, I notice you don’t have the rear windscreen wiper. I feel the car looks a lot nicer without, although in the UK it probably would be helpful autumn through to spring. I’ve heard it can be retrofitted, but I dread to think what the cost would be. Good idea to fit the valve switch, although what’s its impact on the warranty? That’s my concern. The front gearboxes have a tendency to go on these, so would want the warranty to be valid! It’s £30k when it goes wrong. For handling, especially in the cold, try Michelin next time. Please update us on the car once someone’s had a look at the handling, and also if you have the valve switch fitted.
I initially looked at having the switch fitted by my ferrari dealer so you'd retain warranty. I wouldn't get it fitted by someone else (despite the fact it shouldn't have an affect on the warranty)
Could your steering gripe be related to rear wheel steer? I could imagine that causing the car to twitch around if you aren’t smooth with the steering.
When you said that you were losing traction even in comfort mode, it looked like the manettino was set to sport ? Another RUclipsr has said that you don't get four wheel drive in sport mode, maybe that is the issue ? My Ferrari dealer has said that I would void the warranty if I tampered with the exhaust.
Yeah, it’s mainly a rwd car. In comfort you can chirp the wheels (and obv in sport as I was here).it definitely needs the geo looking at as you say. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Mine has some odd patches in the steering where the outputs aren’t what I expect from the inputs. I’ve put it down to the point where the rws changes from steering with the fronts to steering against them. But it’s also possible that the electrical street isn’t that well set up on some cars (it’s not hydraulic btw, I asked about retrofitting the FF’s incredible steering rack, but it couldn’t be done because the FF used a hydraulic set up) do change tyres. Michelin’s will BD much better. And have a set of winters at the dealer for December trips to Scotland. They mean you can totally forget about tyre temps.
Yeah I suspected it may be the switch from rws but apparently that happens around 50mph and feels like the car is crabbing (so similar but not convinced)
@@sammooresphoto could just be the tyres, I went from plain PS4 to potenza sports and the car was much more settled. Definitely check the geo is what you need. Amazing car 👌🏻
Well, I have had my GTC4 Lusso for 4 years and stuck with it due to +60% depreciation. Post two ECU replacements and rust on the door sills (yes; you heard me right, rust), it took two hours to replace the battery 🔋 yesterday since the trickle charger didn’t work (NB: not uncommon that Roma battery 🔋 depletion can happen within 2-3 weeks). It’s a gorgeous car but a horror to drive in big cities; in particular, any parking garage!
@Baloo Bagheera I love my Lusso, but it had rust on the rear spoiler. Took months to get Ferrari to authorise a replacement, and with Ferrari that’s months without the car. You don’t really expect rust on a nearly new £300k+ car….!
Great to see this here right now. I came home an hour ago from my parents in my new to me 2019 GTC4. It's an icy night here (-4C), the grip level is amazing (SottoZeros on it) and it's so much fun to drive. 😎
@@sammooresphoto The SottoZero is brilliant in winter, while the Michelins rule in warmer conditions, just in my experience. The most important thing is to drive a Ferrari. The tires are just second important. 😉
It went live by mistake last week so i made it private and re-scheduled for today. When it came live again youtube just treated it like video that had 0 views for a week so figured a re-upload was worth a shot.
Congratulations on the baby arriving. I will warn you now, you will not be able to access the REWARD facing car seat set up…you’ll need a proper 4 door
I put 200 cell race cats, x pipe and valved rear boxes on my Lusso and it completely changed the car. I highly recommend it. Love the Lusso. Cheers.

Thanks, I agree, it's a mega thing.
Love my FF think they've aged really well
Ferrari FF and GTC4 Lusso are just fantastic cars. The combination of talents is just unbeatable! Everyone who gets one of these will not regret it!

Is why you want an FF with an hydraulic steering rack!
I love the elongated turnover on startup on big engined ferrari and maserati. Reminds me of my old mazza

Great video. Perfectly informative. I’m sold, but will the insurance company go for it being sat on the drive. 🤷♂️
Good question, there were a few parked on the street where I used to live so gotta be possible
Love the Lusso I have a Lusso T.
Awesome
My lusso handles as you describe. I had the geo checked all apparently correct. Figured it is just a weird calibration on the rear wheel steering.
Yeah, I think it’s probably that. Switching between pointing in and out
Could your steering gripe be related to rear wheel steer? I could imagine that causing the car to twitch around if you aren’t smooth with the steering.
I suspect that’s it, some iffy calibration, possibly from factory

Yikes, that’s horrific. I’ve actually sold mine. As soon as I had the first electrical gremlin it basically had to go
