Please give us a depreciation analysis of the Maserati in general, and the Ghibli in particular. I'm afraid Maserati is going to drive your graphics system crazy. Thank you very much for your work and congratulations for your channel
I disagree. Personally for me, at 32, probably thinking family in a few years and on a modest salary - knowing the depreciation is quite important so I'm kind of deliberating over a 430 Scud (seems like an ask for problems) vs 458 (overpriced because of demand) vs F12 (a handful). GTC4 Lusso could tick a lot of boxes, but I don't want to lose a lot of money in a few years. Not necessarily the way to look at it, but I've q goal to own a Ferrari and I'd rather an all rounder.
@@manaspradhan8041 - And your point is? Other aspects in life need attending to, and just because I can't buy one outright doesn't mean I can't afford it. The days of buying expensive cars outright are gone, as frankly - the interest rate charged, its more sensible to keep some of your cash and put it elsewhere. If you want to be a cock, take your superiority complex elsewhere.
@@JamesSmith-wo6qd really not trying to shame you or anything, was just being an asshole:p on a separate note, why not used options? Especially maseratis, those things are gonna be cheaper
@@manaspradhan8041 - It's fine. I have an M2 Competition and considered changing for a Porsche 911 992 C4S. Didn't think it justified double the money as my M2C. My dream has always been to own a Ferrari, so I'll probably hold out for that which will be a used 458 / Scud or GTC 4 Lusso. If life gets in the way, will probably opt for the Porsche or a R8 V10 Performance. Bad time to buy any car now anyway, with prices as they are and interest rates on used at 9.9%. Seen a used BMW X5M for £105k at 9.9%. Dealerships are on drugs, and they'll be in for a shock when no-one can switch out as cars fall into negative equity. Absolute madness.
Really liked the 458 update video. Suggest you do a couple more after 1 year updates. Suggestions include updating the cayman videos, the Mclaren 720s and the Z06
Really great content. Didnt know people actually made videos on this lol, thought I was the only nerd doing these sort of things. Keep up the great work.
I see that as an opportunity to afford a Ferrari in the future. I would love to own a Ferrari as an experience. I love to get from point A to point B in style. Ferrari could very well monopolize my future car purchasing decisions because Ferraris are really that awesome.
Would like to see your analysis on the 430 and the F12. Getting towards the end of my driving career. Had old school Muscle cars of the late 50’s thru early 70’s. My daughter has told me to enjoy myself. Love fast cars and so does she . F12 or 430? Maybe both? Lived a good life and would like to end it with no regrets and a smile on my face.
Absolute versus relative is so key when looking at this. Thank you for the analysis (and shout out). Will be interesting to look at this in three years after the SUV comes out.
Q4 2024 here, confirming that the more useful a high end car is, the more original buyers will lose any investment gains they made elsewhere. Probably why America breeds mostly greed since, easy come, easy go. The v8t is STILL a great daily driver at the high to mid $100k's, and you don't have a silly, pointless front trans-diff to worry about.
Thank you. I am in the market now for an FF or lose so. Fascinated by this video and watch the other one as well. Do you feel that if there is a recession later this year that these prices will drop significantly or if I want to buy one, I might as well do it now? On your other video it appears that the valuation is trending down
@@ronibajralia7008 can't go wrong with either. Haven't driven a GTC yet but from what I hear people say it leans more GT vs the FF. Both awesome cars. Good luck
I truly believe that you’ll see a the depreciation of the GTC level out and with the V12 in particular go up and then go crazy over the next 3-5 years as all V12 engines will be replaced with turbocharged/supercharged engines along with hybrid electric. Since like the Lamborghini Aventador, and how those prices are skyrocketing currently. If you can find a good GTC Lusso with an interesting or high quality spec, jump on it. This is the last V12 wagon that will ever be made. Making it rare and exclusive.
Depreciation is based mostly on mileage tho, 33k loss per year means nothing without knowing how many miles ppl put on them, also, averages include cars that have high mileage for short time period which messes up the numbers
Fourwheel Trader - Car depreciation analysis yes but the average is kinda irrelevant because the average can be messed up by someone who put an excessive amount of miles on the car within a short time, that graph of depreciation per 1000 miles is 💯 though
Value decline of the 2017 corvette grand sport- interesting as it appears the values are actually going up and are even above what many owners paid due to the lack of C8’s for sale. I am thinking of selling mine because of this sudden price rise -
The normal depreciation curves for the Lusso are adversely affected by the imminent appearance of the Purosangue. No other model has that Sword of Damocles hanging over its head. The arrival of the Lusso didn't adversely affect the FF curves nearly as much as the Ferrari SUV will adversely push the Lusso/FF curves. Too, the Lusso is not nearly as sensitive to mileage driven. That's why your analysis is bent ever so slightly. Why? Because no body likes to crawl over the front seat to get to the back seat; the Purosangue will destroy the resale of the Lusso. The best time to buy a used Lusso is going to be the first year after the Ferrari SUV is sold, because that car IS going to be highly regarded, demand for it is going to be crushing, and people are going to be unloading their Lusso/FF to get one.
THIS. The Purosangue's release in 2022 will largely push these values down and there isn't a huge market for the FF/GTC4Lusso as it currently stands. Even here in SoCal, they're sitting on lots for months and months...some dealers have ones sitting for close to the year mark. For the people that bought the GTC4Lusso for practicality, will now truly have something more practical and desirable.
@@wwells2448 It's sad, really, because the Lusso is one of Ferrari's best creations, technically, aesthetically and functionally. People generally don't like the look of it, (I personally do) which depresses prices even more. From my personal point of view, I've found a few particular ones (about ten different cars from the now-closed universe of the Lusso) that I keep looking for by VIN; they popping-up for sale now and then, and when the big price dip hits, I'm going to grab one of those as a keeper. But not yet; the time is not yet right.
Thank you for your MOST interesting calculation and explanation of values. When will I ever be able to afford the Ferrari 812 Superfast? Can you please take a run at this PLEASE>. Thank you.
Good stuff - interestingly though you can get a £55,000 discount on a V12 Lusso just like you can get a £43,000 discount on an i8 too - which lessons the pill of depn first 3 yrs on a well-bought Lusso - still a slightly ruiness figure though!
