Haha. You are the second person to say that. The funny thing is that I hae never watched the show. I know OF the show just never watched it, so i had to look up what the Dalek looked like. You are so right. How funny. I thought people might have a lot more ideas of what that looks like but it never occurred to me it was a robot, 🙂
Haha. You are ahead of me. That lady bug was an afterthought on that pot. I had a bald spot on the back of the pot and didnt want to put another bee I was just going to put one of the dots on there and carve it, but when I put it down on the pot, it dawned on me....ladybug!
@@annruel1982 I’m an Australian and do a lot of arts and crafts love working with bright and happy colours , but I’m not a potter I wish I could because I love it that’s why I love watching you do it and enjoy how artistic and creative you are Ann ! 💖 give my love to Jim please .
@@easterazali9237 Hello to Australia from Florida. Hopefully one day I will make it down to see your lovely country. You will have to look into a pottery class. You would love it. Thanks for the kind words and I sure will give you love to Jim. Thanks so much.
Oh my godness, Ann, you have such patience, eye for detail and creativity. I look at what you make and can't figure out how you do it. Then you give us such great lessons, it feels doable. Beautiful work!
Haha. I have to admit, I have heard of the show Dr. Who and of the Dalek, but I have never watched the show. I had to look up what the Dalek looked like and you are so right. that makes me chuckle. Thanks Jenny for watching. Jim and I really appreciate that.
These are all so beautiful and creative and while you aren't mentioning this, it makes me feel stupid for all those times I needed little balls of clay the same size and spent so much time adding and taking away teensy little bits of clay to even them out. I'm going to look for some measuring spoons to keep in my clay kit as soon as possible. I also have all these small stamps that I love but hardly ever use. Using them on these spoon circles would work great.
Hey Vicki. Im so gld you like that idea. The spoons have become some of my favorite tools in my studio for that very reason. I also used to do the same thing trying to get those little balls of clay the same size Happy potting to you.
Wow, you are amazing, always! 😍 Can you say what clay you use or used to make these pieces? beige clay. Thank you very much and congratulations. Very delicate and creative, i love it.
Hi Vanessa, that is so sweet of you. Thanks for watching. Actually I use a very cool white porcelain clay in my studio as it is the best clay to paint on when I make my painted pottery that I like to do. It is a very smooth but finicky clay.
Would using decorating bags (or bottles) with more decorating tips that are used in cake decorating work? I have lots of them. I don’t have the decorating bottles as I’ve always used the bags or parchment paper I’ve cut myself to make a Wilton style parchment disposable icing bag.
Hi Sammi. YOu can give it a try. I think that might work especially for just simple designs like I did here in this video. I know some people do very complex slip dot designs where you really benefit from a stiffer applicator that is less work to "steady" with your hands. When designs get complex, it really is a workout for your hands and fingers.
In my view, the dragon fly assembly steals the show. It's so beautiful and elegant.
Hey Em! It is easy to do really. I bet you could make one yourself. Give it a try.
Such great ideas, thank you Ann
Hey Darrell. Aww...thanks so much. Happy potting to you.
Lovely designs. The first one reminds me of a Dalek.

My gosh Anne! You never cease to amaze me! What amazing ideas! The first thing I imagined when I saw you do this was a ladybug!!

I think the spoons can also be used to make decorative beads. The ones everyone is stringing on rope for decor.
Hey Jackie. I like that idea. I can see putting two half circles together to make consistent sized beads. Love that. thanks for the tip.
love it ❤
Im so glad you like it! Thanks for watching and feel free to give it a try.
