I've seen you rescuing much worse cars. Additionally a cabriolet seems always worth rescuing. The Honda CT 70 looks really nice.

I love how optimistic project VW owners can have the most rusty and clapped out VW, but they will be like, “look how nice the dash looks!” Yes, they do have nice dashes.
Up here in the rust belt that car would be considered as a solid body and very restorable. Those who don't live in the rust belt have no clue how good they have it when it comes to cars to restore.
@@todddenio3200 I’ve had a few with plywood floors and etc…. I had 2 in Juneau Alaska and the salt air isn’t super kind to them either. They had nice dashes tho! 😉

It was never "repainted orange", 10:27, but originally factory painted Poppy Red (a Convertible-only color option in '67) which was much brighter and 'orange-y' in appearance than the more common Ruby Red L-456.. She's crusty, but pretty much all there! 👍

Love the one-year-only acorn stash. They're only original once. Do your best to preserve it.
Liked the burnt orange paint job they did on VW’s in the 60’s. It fades like red paint as well.

MR. 67 IS BACK BABY!!! She's a Beauty! I'm all in when you have to kiicķ it off with a leaf blower! Price goes up when the top is being heavily forced down. As always, diggin every video Jason, to bad it's in that condition man.

Well on the outside and through the camera it looked red to me too. I like the two tone rear lights, they just couldn't decide on the colour! :) Overall though it does look solid Jason.👍👍
Nice save, looks ok once the roof is down and the rats nests gone, you need a big dry shop to keep them in.
My best friends girlfriend had one. She stopped by my house one day and we put the top down and let me drive it.

Red paint fades badly. The pans are rotten. (Assume that those can be replaced. Could not see the condition of the seats.

Great year convertible. I think Karman made 7500 convertible 1967 bugs. So, compared to the sedans, they are rare.

I had a '67 bug. A distressing number of parts are interchangeable with NO other year. There is a reason it's where you found it.

11:39 aftermarket blue blinker relay. That car was running around not too long ago. I think they’ve only been making repops for 10? Years. Maybe I’m wrong.
That “B”case is a dual relief 70’ 1600 cc. Rare. Look under it and see if it has bus bosses on the case for a mustache bar.
I have 2 1970 cars and both, have B case bus engines. It was the best I could score. And try to keep up appearances.

I am SOOOOO glad we don't have a mouse problem where I live. We do have fat rats, but old derelict VWs don't interest them much. B code 1600 single ports are the best VW engine made.

But two are 12- volt and 1500 engine
67 is a great driver with the 12v and 1500...but the interior took a MAJOR dive for the 67 year. Exterior had a few unsightly changes in my opinion as well but my 1st car was a 67 so i have a soft spot for them. However , there are some cool one year only stuff as well

That's not orange, that's Poppy Red which was a convertible only colour. It is bright red with a orange tint to it.

Use to have a nice 67 cabro myself, Rare as it was a RHD Not LHD. Plus i Use to have a nice Honda ST70 in blue years ago. Wish i never sold it
