JohnForceFanYT can't relate my band had a competition and we got dead last place 😢unlike last year we got all superiors it's the best feelings to get straight superiors (*cough* totally not calling out the freshman that put no effort into actually trying) in like 3 weeks or so we host East Georgia Band Competition 27th of this month excitedddd!!!

Dr. Chili Pepper they're not affiliated with any fb Teams, they're their own thing, part of DCI, or Drum Corps International. There are a bunch of other groups just like the Blue Devils that are a part of DCI as well.
Well they're sorta like a marching band, but way better ☺️, and they're called a "Drum and Bugle corps", which basically means they use different instruments

@Benjamin Syperda highschool marching band is a breeze tbh. The hardest part is probably parades.
Mac 'N Cheese Haha high school marching is not a breeze when you play first trumpet for literally every song. The marching is easy, but combine it with the playing and it becomes a nightmare after a while.

I read somewhere a joke that DCI is what happens when marching band is given the same budget as sports like football. That's too true (looking at you, James Logan HS) (James Logan alumni somehow always end up in BD)
My school played JL’s football team once and they took the us, the band, with them. School look boujee as hell but the band kids are hella nice lol

@@egsundocked3465 I went from Clarinet > Trombone/Baritone, just stick with it, don't fall off and practice a lot. It will take some getting used to but once you do at that point you just make sure you have basic fundamentals on par!

My band has to pay $25 a year for food unless you are in color guard I think you pay more when it's your first year

So much about this makes me want to throw shade. The uniforms, the dudes spinning rifles, the odd chatter back and forth, but I just watched this whole thing and came to the conclusion that you all absolutely massacred that, and deserve nothing but applause. I obviously know nothing about the band culture, but that was pure energy and I respect it.
The amount of pride and excitement you would have after playing, if my children ever play a piece as wonderful as this one I will tell them that I’m so proud of them

God, i miss this stuff so much. Ive yet to find a single thing in life that remotely compares to the feeling of going out on the field and just absolutely nailing it. This video reminds me of the best parts of high school for me, its absolutely how i felt when we won our school’s first best overall, and when it just kept coming all through that season. Nothing can compare

(I have a season and a half left and grand champion means best show at that competition). It was awesome when we got it, everyone was f***ingbhype as hell.
