Definately a handy set up for on the moon, ive seen someone do it to their ship, so the whole ship rotates to keep panels in the sun. Your idea for keeping it one subject per vid is a good call.
That's a slightly different take on the tracking setup. First time I've seen someone rotate the whole tower rather than just rotate the solar panel array at the top. A little thinking outside the box for connecting the solar tower base to the main base, I like it. Will have to try that myself one of these times.
Lil' tip, "Large" towers get a lot of mass, turning down the speed that the two 'rotors' move in the turret controller saves it from trying to break itself.
I have been playing SE since it came out, but just got back into it after a long long break. I put ur series on cuz my husband just started playing aswell and thought he might learn something. Turns out though 😂😂😂 we both are learning. Jeez so much new stuff 😂😂 thanks dude for the vids 😁
I've not played SE for quite some time, and have to say that Turret Controller is so much easier to setup and use for building tracking solar panels than the method I used in an older version of the game - custom scripts.
My latest new game from last fall, I got going pretty good, now I'm making an epic journey to park my new terrestrial base close to a trade post to better cheese the economy stuff
For people that see this and want to make a 'clean' base without something connecting to power. Use ALT+F10 to open admin page and enable creative mode tools to use spectator then you can build from the spectator view under the base and then have hidden blocks underground, think of it like underground power lines.

I just turn all the game sounds down.
@@BrianRonald That feels weird tho
@@Mister-Toaster I dunno, they all get annoying after a few hours.
@@BrianRonald but what about all the other sounds
"can't"
Engines are secretly OP if used with Event Controllers.
This is an extremely big brain idea
@@LunarKolony You should do a vid on this down the line....its actually a REALLY good topic and idea
Keep up the GREAT work... You are so underrated on RUclips :( It is a crime.
Thank you very much :) glad you enjoyed

This game has a very steep learning curve. You help flatten it out. Thank you!
solar panels look dope!
OMG! Thanks for the guides! Everything is very clear.

thank you i been trying to work out how to do that for solar
Thanks LK.. works like a charm
You're welcome!
Great Vid man.

the dent is where you drilled under to get the grids from the pod on landing
00:58 "I'll also be doing less cutting you you can see what I'm doing without the cuts, so... cut!"
Haha
Got a phone call right then 😭
Non fully built/off neon tubes also look great as power line tho your probably know that already :)
How cool is that? No more mod needed. Turret control just has the option to point at the sun.
Going green.
nice
I added Quieter Tools Mod but do I need to do something else besides add the mod, tools aren't quieter.
