May Allah Almighty bless you my dear❤, if you are interested in getting more knowledge about islam and prayers. You can try reading Quran ( it's authentic English translation) . We pray five times a day. It is called namaz. We can pray to Allah Any time we want and ask Allah for something and pray or make dua anytime but 5 prayers are obligatory. We have to wash ourselves before prayer called wudu basically washing face hand etc. In prayer you are basically talking to Allah Almighty. It builds a very strong connection with Allah And gives us peace of mind and it gives us Lots of rewards also. I hope it helps. I am a Muslim woman myself.
