You might have the pin numbers reversed. The Yaesu connector is numbered opposite of American (Amphenol - Cinch Jones) connectors. What you call pin 3 is pin 1 on Yaesu connector. KD6KCA

do you do any service work on the yaesu ft101e model radio, i have one that was my father in laws. It powers up, but as i am just getting started in ham radio, i don''t have the means to test it. The radio has sentimental value to me and i would like to have in operational. I have been a Cber and marine radio user for many years and want to move into ham radio, thanks Gary
