- We've been busy working on Sugary Spire, and in this video you get to see what we have (and haven't) spent all that time working on. Expect discussion of worlds, levels, and boss encounters you can expect in the final game, as well as a deep, informative look into the game's scrapped content!

Hello sugary spire, I'm a big fan of your game, So this is why I decided to send you some Sketches of level ideas, Remember that dragon's lair level that was, You know, Unfinished, So this is why I added it to a Sugary spire floor 5, And it features a new power up, Called the chocolate Knight, It's basically, I took the chocolate Knight power up from the pizza tower scoutdigo Game, And added it to My sketch, Also I have some Ideas for Animations for pizzano, And I actually had moral levels for you, Another one is called gunball gully, And basically you have these gumball dispenses that spit out gumballs, And you use the Gumball to take down the chocolate Frogs 🐸, Another one is called cherry bomb beach. In this level, you use cherry bond to blow up Chocolate frogs to get to Progress, In my last level I made is called gum worm garden, And it's basically you surf on these gummy worms throughout the level, And finally, I made a title card for dragon's lair, So yeah. I hope you like Made, And I hope Those levels become official, I'm begging, And that is all I have to say, See you around and I'll come up with more sketches for this, And here's link to my RUclips channel, And here are some of my sketches, And When these levels do Become official, Credit me on your RUclips channel, And Give me a shout out.
@@Ninjaboy94 I appreciate the interest! Those are definitely some interesting ideas, and, although I can't see any of the art you mentioned, I'm sure you must have put a lot of work into all of that. Although we aren't accepting ideas submitted by fans, you might be able to make some of that into a pretty cool CYOP level or mod! Definitely let me know if you do, I'll be sure to play it.

As much as it pains me to see coneboy scrapped, his gimmick of copying abilities from different enemies was honestly really sick and I hope another mod can revisit that idea in the future.

the part where he mentioned that painter is a scrapped boss reminds me of the same situation as mr stick being a scrapped boss in pizza tower

Good level design is absolutely crucial to a game like this, especially during Sugar Rush, so I get why thats taking the longest. Looking forward to the final game where it's (hopefully) perfected.
Also thank God Grunktar is staying in the final game. I cannot imagine Sugary Spire without Grunktar.
Seeing Pizzano not in the scrapped characters section gives me a lot of hope for him potentially being playable! Keep up the goodwork too y’all!

@TheodoreTheNoise If that actually happens it'll become a tradition in the noise inspired characters. they start being worked on, then get scrapped and re-added way afterwards again as a update that everybody gets hyped to play as them

YES, thank you. I commend you all for taking your time and leveling with us, as I cannot stress enough how much I empathize on level design being such a sticking point in the way of game development and a timely release schedule. I feel it cannot be overstated enough how crucial level design is to the soundness and tightness of a game, perhaps especially for a 2D platformer, as even the most minute of detail a player may not detect has intrinsic value that all makes up the sum-of-the-parts of a great, memorable level (refer to World 1-1 from the original Super Mario Bros. as a poster child of this, for example).

Exciting stuff! I think going for 4 shorter worlds will work in your favor, I'm really interested in seeing what you guys come up with for the first 2 bosses! Myself and many others will be patiently waiting for future updates on development, and I wish you all the best!

@@duoanimates if you’re having so many leaks of that game, I’m thinking that most of the play testers are immatures and can’t keep themselves from leaking content.
@@easternunit2009 well one developer went rogue and leaked it all, before they could retract it it had already multiplied like CRAAAZY, but you already know that probably. they should switch to a patreon so the game devs can be paid, its a win for everyone! pay money for private builds

This has me really excited to see what you're doing with this game, especially since you've moved The Painter from being a boss to being a "tenuous ally". I wonder if the two new bosses will be anything like Pizza Tower's bosses, or if they'll be entirely new creations...

I hope you do eventually get around to making those alternative level variants, plenty of games do that and it's a great way to add more content for a lesser cost. They'd be cool to have as bonus levels, but ultimately it depends on what interesting twists you could give to existing levels.
But I also understand that the game needs to release eventually, so that's cool if this is the final design plan. Game needs to come together before getting to the extra stuff if there's any.

Seeing how much pizza tower changed so much in the final release, no wonder why it's really hard to make new levels when a lot of the base mold of the gameplay got changed so much. Hopefully now that pizza tower is released, this game can finally get some traction.
