Her voice in this scence is currenty contralto which is still female voice . She can train so that her voice can be higher and more feminine , there are ways to train to alter your voice
Yes but this anime is older, so some people definitely wouldn’t have known about it, and it’s a less popular thing in Japan (from what I’ve heard), also it’s a hard process but regardless it’s still very damaging for a trans person to have their voice change
Eh it was still deepening and unless she would find out about DIY HRT or got on blockers like many young trans people now it still dropped, mine also dropped to a tenor specifically but I’m getting the most extensive surgery on the market that’s literally going to reconstruct my voice from a male to a female one, it’s never going to be as good as before tho. But if you’re FTM you’re privileged as fuck in this regard as you basically get the voice you should’ve gotten with no caveats so unless we can grow new vocal cords in a lab or surgically modify the ones we have efficiently enough or even create a model of electrolarynx and vocal cords that doesn’t fucking suck asstrash we’re completely fucked, fingeres cross my result will be good I guess.
No it couldn’t, it was still deepening and unless she could find out how to do DIY or get on blockers it was still going to change, and not all of us have the anatomy to voice train nor want to live with a testosterone damaged voice. I’m a tenor and voice training makes me want to off myself and takes WAY to much time. As such I’m getting the most extensive VFS procedure (FemLar) to completely reconstruct my vocal cords from male to female one’s, voice training is not a real solution the only good solution is one that changes anatomy/physiology.
why does she use "boku" though? I thought that was a masculine way of referring to youtself in japanese, right? Iwould assume she would use "watashi" or sm.. but i read the translated manga so I wouldnt rly know...
because it takes time for trans people to get used to their preferred pronouns, trust me that happened to me alot back then when I was still getting used to masculine pronouns
It turns out that boku is actually considered a pronoun used by young boys that are then expected to "grow out of" as they mature, although lately there are even girls that refer to themselves using boku, not as commonly but enough that it's become a subject of discussion. And even with that, referring to oneself with a new pronoun can be a big change, especially one as common as a first person pronoun, so compared to a third-person pronoun it would take more time getting use to.
LET HER BE HAPPY!
I wish she can say 'I want to be myself
This is my favorite scene from the anime. It's so inspiring!

She wished for the play to be a huge success, she says it after this scene but its cut out.
what the fuck did he want oh my god
feminiedisaster she
Nathan Summers it's a boy therefore a "he". I'm not supporting this gender nonsense. i want to break gender stereotypes, not make new gender labels.
