@Valdeja Jean she meant that what a ballerina wants to achieve is to make the dance look effortless. I think everyone knows that it's the exact opposite of effortless, but making it look like it was, is part of the art.
katherine bodkin could not have said it better myself. giselle takes my breath away. i did pointe for years and it was grueling, hard work but i loved every second and miss it to this day. i was in the nutcracker at 14 or 15 and i also danced in many different recitals but giselle was always my inspiration
Its something about the beginning of the music that just makes me so happy. The music, the costume, the story of Giselle, the ballet, it all just makes me so happy! 😊 gosh I hope I someday get to perform this beautiful variation on stage with a professional company
Technique was beautiful I felt so bad when she stumbled but so amazed that she kept going great job and I totally would have ran off after I ended and like cried!!!

Haha! Sorry “pointy slippers” it just makes me laugh because most people call them pointe shoes or toe shoes. I’ve never heard “pointy slippers” before😂
I love this performance, and am in no way taking away from how absolutely beautiful it was. However, while this may have been intended, it appeared that she kept falling out of pointe on some turns, arabesques, and a few other things. Her technique was flawless, other than a few stumbles, so I am in no way disregarding how technically perfect her performance was, but that was some constructive criticism to go by. Now, if those fallouts were intentional, then I sincerely apologize for correcting you on something that doesn't need to be corrected. Otherwise, I hope this was helpful. (:
I also understand how difficult pointe is, so please don't think I'm trying to say it was an easy mistake to fix, because I'm sure it is difficult to perfect.

I love every Giselle dress, every single one of them has this beautiful airy-ness to it, and when you spin it just flies with rhythm of your spin.
