- uh yeah, no one reads descriptions. The title is really the only description needed. Why did you click on this. What are you, a loser that reads descriptions. guess so you freakin loser
Notice he lubbed the ratchet, un like ICON assemblers!!!
Figures harbor freight would put it in dry
@@MikesToolShed damn thats funny!!!!
You're always doing something or talking about something cool and interesting. Love your channel!
Earlier this year at a yard sale I picked up two Snap-On ratchets for a dollar a piece. Yeah I left in a hurry. The half inch flex I got looks worse than the one you dug up though. It has some bad pitting on it. For a buck I don't care! It's a S711A model. I got it and a 3/8s quick release F723. The 3/8s is mint. I like my '58 F720 better.

I can't believe you bought a $190 ratchet, buried it and dug it up months later just to fix it for a video.
Lol, EXPOSED!
I love finding tools. You wouldn't believe how many mechanics forget tools in your cars.
Pick a part yards. Find great stuff, I usually turn it in though

@@lagrippemuerte3852 wtf
@@lagrippemuerte3852 No one is takin' the bait.
I feel like Snap On sells the rebuild kits at cost or at a loss to reduce the lifetime warranty use. Especially as their auditor/rebuild technican costs are probably quite high in the U.S.
Hey Mike big fan of your videos. I'm just getting started in the workforce (handyman+HVAC) and your videos are really enjoyable + informative. Happy to see new content :)
That ratchet is well worth the $200 price. You scored finding that like you did. There really is a Snap On difference until lately. The company seems to think they are Harley Davidson. Jack up prices with nothing better. I would rather push my Suzuki than ride a Harley. Older Snap On are great tools I use every day.
definitely not worth 200 bucks, i can find the same ratchet on ebay as that in way better condition for 70 bucks
Once it's buried it officially becomes treasure.
Wooohoo...
Who's a happy chappy! 👍🏽
Very entertaining and informative to boot... 😂
Well done mate.
I freakin love your comments man, thanks!
@@MikesToolShed
Pleasure mate, because I freaking love your vids.
So glad your back on top of (the bucket) you game! 👍🏽😃
Once you use that ratchet u will love it nothing like a snap on ratchet
Great find
Solid vid. Pretty cool find. I'll have you know I'm exactly the type of loser that reads descriptions, thank you very much.
Haha, i never do but and that was a test
That introduction at the beginning....... holy shit I was laughing so hard.
Great treasure hunt
Great video mike
Good job Mike !!!!!
Hemm hemm a bucket??? Good deal you were able to getr goin again
And yeah, they are worth every bit of 180 bucks, but yeah warranty parts are their most produced parts hence why kits are relatively inexpensive.
And holy shit mike how many adds you gonna put in this one lol
That is very cool
Thanks Danoh, 100% coolest thing I've found digging.
@@MikesToolShed i find alot of cool stuff but i do a different kind of digging
I love digging through flea markets and Garage sales
I always email snap on and they send you rebuild kits free
Shit, i would have went that route if it's that easy.
Mike's Tool Shed we live and learn next time you need one email them
Having the blade open with your hand right next to it the whole time made it hard to pay attention... lol. New sub here though.
my right ear was lonely
Need a dab of grease on the BB.
Thats really weird, I found one of the exact same ratchet whilst searching for wood while camping near a forestry road.

They would send you a whole new one because of the chrome on it, some story tweaking maybe needed tho. =)
On the job if it ain't chained down it's fair game. If it is chained down then you need a demo saw or a torch to steal it.
Well if i think i know who the owner is, ill try to return it. Ive had guys go out of their way to return stuff to me. Even had a guy jokingly try to sell me back my own sawzall i left on a curb on a Friday.
@@MikesToolShed yeah you leave tools behind you might as well pitch them in the burn barrel then. So very cool of someone to give it back to you. I went to lunch once and someone grabbed this screwdriver I left on the ground that I was using to loosen grates with. The boss felt so bad for me that he padded me an hour overtime to cover for it. Maybe he stole it? I don't know. Not everyone is exactly a fine upstanding citizen in the construction racket though.
Hi Mike I think I here what sounds like a delco or Philly/south jersey accent im from Philly and people think I’m crazy when I’m out of town and I go out to eat and they ask what I’ll have to drink and I say I’ll have a “wooder”
Goddamn dude. I bought one as a student for ~$90. What’s the date code on it?
I rather enjoyed this video.
And yeah, you coulda warrantied it, but then the rest of us wouldn't of learned anything.
Pretty damn 😎 cool dude!
I’d run that ratchet over a wire wheel and get that rust off her and put a shine to her! Regardless of whether or not you like/dislike Snap-On and their prices, they do make awesome ratchets that are easy to maintain!
Snap On still makes that exact same model to this day. $205. Absurd.
You're paying that much for a hundred years of metallurgy, engineering, the workers, the factory, the raw materials, having those pieces all made in the US (or at least that's what it used to be). Some of it then was the name and the warranty. A professional grade tool with a warranty was how they built their name, but now it's all made in Taiwan so you're just paying for brand now.
Anyways yeah, the ACTUAL thing probably cost $20 to make here in the USA. They rather make it for $4 in China though, way higher profit margins lol.
12 dollar for the rebuild but is the rebuild kit snap on?
Yeah, right from snap ons site
Mike's Tool Shed Well thats wierd
You forgot the click
Guess I’m a loser :(
Lol, got eeeem
Snap On tools are way over priced IMHO.
Oh yeah, I have bought 2, and i love em, but i will probably never buy another one.
Snappy is real nice, but quite frankly I don't need it. I'll still pick it up whenever I run across it for a good price. This year I got two ratchets for a buck a piece. Which is a fair price for the stuff.
@@MikesToolShed I've only ever bought one Snap-On tool off a truck. I got more than one Snap-On tool though. I find them here and there.
Strike that I did buy another Blue Point tool off a truck. What a rip off it was. Same damned air body saw you can get for $30 all day any day all over the place and with the Blue Point name on it I paid $120 for it. Ouch! Then to top it off the thing had a manufacturing defect. For a long time I had trouble with it then one day I was like what's wrong with this thing? So I took it apart and I found that when they glued in the debris screen they got a little crazy with the epoxy they used to hold it in. That epoxy was blocking the air passage too. Now it finally runs right.
Not if you find them in a pile of dirt...
Dude you forgot to tell us where you got that watch and for how much! what a bad shill you are!!!
Haha, a watch shill is one of the worst, its s Hamilton Khaki Field 38mm and i got it off ebay
And i think i paid like 200 for it, NIB, which is a pretty good deal on these
@@MikesToolShed Dude I love ebay!!
should have just put it in the trash can and went to HF :)
feakin trolls, you just got reported buddy
@@MikesToolShed I know trolls ya got to love them even OSO lol
Where has ol Mike been the last few years!?
