Recipes are wonderful! Luv curry so will have to try that one. We are all in favor of maple syrup with water for our carrots around here so I just did 24 pints of those. Especially with Easter Dinner coming up shortly they will come in handy. Also did yams. I tested a Yam pie instead of using pumpkin for dessert and it was fantastic! Family voted pumpkin out yam pie in! Because the yam were so sweet I only used 1/4 cup brown sugar probably go even a little less next time. Thank you for your great ideas Abbey
That sounds great Sheila. We often add maple syrup when roasting or sautéing carrots but I haven't tried canning them that way. I will have to give that a go! Yam pie sounds delicious
All three options look great. I normally freeze mine since I am not a fan of canned veggies but I plan on trying these recipes. And I also love to add garlic to everything! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Tammy! We freeze a lot of veggies too. I do also find we prefer them that way, however canning saves a bunch of freezer space. I hope you enjoy these!
The Herbed carrots look perfect for my chicken soup this winter, i might add a bay leaf to the jar for a earthy flavor your a wonderful cook Abbey. Thank you so much
I save all my veggie scraps to add flavor and nutrients when i make my bone broths. Love your channel. Thank you for helping me woth my fear of my canner. Had it a year now and have never opened the box. 😂. ❤️🌹❤️
That’s a great idea to try a few different recipes and change up just plain canned vegetables. Garlic goes with everything so I am glad to see you added it to each jar regardless of the recipe! 😂
I do carrots with brown sugar and orange juice. When I open them cook them down and it glazes them. Pretty good on occasion. I need to try the balsamic beans. The reduction balsamic we have here already and Costco is about out of it so, new bottle.
Great video 😊 I am just about to get into canning. Should help me out in winter. My place is all electric in the UK and don't want a huge bill in winter so hopefully do a lot of meal prep this summer.
They turned out great! I haven’t canned much more carrots in general yet, but I have done more of both varieties of beans. I am still doing the majority plain just for versatility but I will continue to do a variety of these :)
These look amazing! i haven't made some of these, i should give them a try. I have made the herbed carrots and the curried carrots. I liked the herbed ones, but i used fresh herbs since my dried herbs are old and taste bitter when i can them. the curried carrots were good but the curry flavor was pretty weak. Not bad, though
The balsamic beans are great! We haven’t tried all of them yet. I was wondering if the curry flavor would come through on the curried carrots. Thanks for watching!
Hi there... I just found your channel and I noticed that you look A LOT like Kelsey over at Seed and Sparrow Homestead. I was wondering if your were related? I see your a newbie to youtube, I hope you do well. Blessings.
What a great idea. I’ve never fancied canning veg until I watched you. 😊
Thank you Susie! Nothing beats fresh but it’s a great way to preserve the harvest and have some easy sides ready to go :)
Thanks for sharing the recipes! My book only has plain ones

Oh yum I have heard of those carrots but haven’t tried them myself. I’ll need to give those a try as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Looks great let us know how the taste test goes.
Thank you, I’ll report back!
I just learned about and bought white balsamic vinegar. You may want to try that in your yellow beans.
That is a great idea, thank you!
how did these taste? did you end up making more of these? Thank you for doing a taste test for us!
