It comes to me that when you have searched and searched for this one genre which at once stops you in your tracks and you no longer have to listen, because it is as if this music has always been a part of your deeper self, deep inside your Soul, then suddenly I can sense this music as an extension of all that is good and holy. It's like a detachment from my body, an ethereal place where I can watch the world in awe, where even the bad things have a beauty in them. very well put into words. we all feel the same. although the interpretation and imagery is different for us all. you can hear so many so many vast cultures and empires through this sound if sound it can be called. feels like it existed long before time itself...her craft.
Lisa must be from another universe because in our universe there is nothing as hauntingly beautiful as this. It sounds like a voice deep in heaven where we may one day meet her in person.

+Arch Yeomans Are you sure about this? From what source do you know that it's occitan? Or do you have the lyrics? This is the first album by Lisa Gerrard or Dead Can Dance that I have a hard time pinpointing what is its overall theme, because I can't find any satisfying interview or text giving hints. It seems to deal a lot with the sea(s), but then, is that the "twilight kingdom"? The sea? I thought she meant some geographical space up north where it's literally twilight all year long (and maybe the land on the sleeve was inundated from the melting arctic, I had a whole scenario), but now I'm certain that it doesn't correspond with the land on the sleeve art (I don't know where the sleeve and video were shot but it's not the north, the video made that obvious). Ok, I disgressed.

Oh this so much. They did come to Chile, but not to Brazil, where I live. At the time, a trip to Chile was out of question, so I was really disappointed when news of the South American leg ot their latest tour (I think) came to me.
Hopefully, we'll get to see them in the future, friend.
+Fractal Dragons I also want to see them. They performed in a moment where my life was very turbulent. Now I am afraid it might not happen again. But never seeing them live and wanting to be a part of that can also be a beautiful regret, a testament to that time is a dictator and that we are running out of it.
