Great stuff yet again! As a guitarist myself (45 years playing experience and learning everyday) I believe in the three T's ie Tone,Touch and Technique; You've got them all!
@@coxbassman968 Hey Cox, do you think you can cover bass from the performances in Kilburn, 1977? Whenever I hear the substitute performance at Kilburn 77, I shiver with John's riffs, it's like thunder.
@@iagosilva8904 I think yes! Actually I would like to play other songs from that live. Could be My Wife, Won't Get Fooled Again or Dreaming from the Waist... but I'm not sure about the bass sound 'cause I don't have an Alembic :/ let's see!
@@coxbassman968 Ok Cox, any cover of this performance that you do I will appreciate it with great affection! And yes, without an Alembic it is difficult to cover the songs below.
@@ShaneScott69 awesome! But yeah a little too far away haha! Well you're right, I gotta try an octave pedal or something. I'd love an 8 string bass though, it has an amazing sound and looks cool too

Thanks man! Of course, Success Story is another great song! I need an 8 string bass though haha but maybe I'll find a way
@@coxbassman968 I'd lend you my 8 string but I'm in New Zealand, maybe use an octave pedal 🙂

What effects are you using to get that gainy tone?
@@ShaneScott69 I use fresh new Rotosound bass strings and a VT bass pedal. Also the maple fretboard of my p-bass helps a lot
the tone is magnífico 🤘🏼
Thanks man!
What picks do you use?
I use Herco picks 0.75 and Dunlop Max Grip 1.0
Are you working on anything new lately?
