I'm not going to make a big video about this. But I'm going to write it. I'm getting the itch to make songs in various styles again. It's because I miss putting my versatility to the test, and I feel I haven't been exercising that "muscle" in a while and truthfully, I miss it. I've been out of my element because of it. So the Ten Second Man is coming back. Give me some songs and styles you want to hear.
I'd LOVE to see some more classic rock songs represented here, Livin' On A Prayer, Don't Stop Believing, any Beatles stuff. Seriously SHOCKED you haven't done Hey Jude yet.
I kind of want a full unplugged mix of that Gangsta's Paradise, along with just a mashup of X Gonna Give It To Ya and How Ya Remind Me. Also, the jazzy Hammer Smashed Face would be something I could see Richard Cheese doing.
Andy Rehfeldt (I think that's the last name) does a smooth jazz version of "Killing in the Name," and a version of Cannibal Corpse's "Evisceration Plague" that's been transposed from a minor key to a major one.
I've watched this thousands of times. Goosebumps every time. But yet, is it not blasphemy? to include DMX and Nickelback I'm the same phrase? Fuck no. This is STILL LEGENDARY.
“Gangsters Paradise” is already a reworking of Stevie Wonder’s Pastime Paridise. When playing it you’re essentially playing Pastime Paradise. The lyrics are the only real difference. Even then, some lines are left intact. “Why are we so blind to see, that the ones we hurt are you and me?” The original will always be the best.
You know, it’s getting increasingly more difficult to find something that is challenging for you, I’m starting to believe you can do pretty much anything , that’s what you get when you mix talent and creativity… And the Eskimo Callboy ( now Electric Callboy) part, the world NEEDS more of that, please 😂
You sound good man. My voice is still recovering from covid and it's been emotionally devastating considering how hard I had worked on it the past couple of years. Keep doing whatever you're doing.
I would love a full version of Dig in acoustic. I've never listened to Mudvayne before and I thought it sounded so good that I'm checking out the original version.
@Transient Lion that whole L.D 50 album is really good. Some Mudvayne songs I'd recommend you check out would be -World So Cold -Happy? -Forget To Remember -Fall Into Sleep -Do What You Do -Same Ol' -Never Enough -Dull Boy -Nothing To Gein -Internal Primates Forever -(K)now (F)orever -Severed -Death Blooms -King Of Pain (police cover, I think it's better than the police version... but i dont like the police) -Idiot (live)
1) DMX - Works, though I'm not sure if the How You Remind Me segment makes it worse or better! 2) Disturbed - Nah 3) Coolio/Stevie Wonder - Choruses work. The rap section? Only when sung, and only just. 4) Dig - Ummmm... Weirdly, yes. Maybe only because Anthony's doing it. 5) Hammer Into Face - Jazzy! I like! 6) Disasterpiece - it's almost a funk song until the chorus. 7) ECB - Yeah, ok. 8) Rose of Sharon - I'm not sure why anyone thought this *wouldn't" work acoustically?
I keep coming back to that X Gon Give to Ya / How You Remind Me mash-up and Dig. Both are outstanding! We need those in full, please! Edit: Also Rose of Sharyn sounded amazing and should definitely be played live as acoustic every now and then. I'd be down with Howard Jones doing it solo too.

I want to hear the full cover of Rose of Sharyn ... that one sounded really great :) And Eskimo Callboy released a acoustic version of "Pump It" and it is friggen awesome. I love this band ^^
That grin during the 'lounge' bit when it hits him exactly how it needs to sound then he just goes for it - just that moment of pure joy of performing right there. Love it. :)

LZ - Immigrant Song Muse - Plug in baby Metallica - Whereever I may roam Probably most impossible of all: Are you gonna go my way 😊 Bonus track: Keane - Perfect Symmetry
An Australian band I found on RUclips during lockdown did do an acoustic cover of Ain't Talking About Love as a tribute to Eddie when he passed, they're called Mixed Up Everything and well worth a look.
@@TenSecondSongs Disasterpiece was great, it sounded like it was supposed to be like that! Most of the others were great too but that one stood out best.

@Anthony Vincent I would like to thank you for introducing me to Eskimo Callboy!!! They are an awesome band!!!! I can't get enough of their music and unique sound since listening to them on this video of yours. I have got all their albums now and am even going to see them in April 2023 in London!!!
I walked into the room as you started Dig along with recognizing it instantly came goose bumps for its entirety. I read a lot of the comments and it seems that WE ALL WANT A FULL VERSION OF DIG. Please and thank you.
That beginning of Down in the sickness so softly and the "Ou WA ha ha ha" made me laugh so hard, you killed me with that man. I really enjoy your videos, thank you for that.
Your x gonna give it to ya transitioning into how you remind me is exactly how trying to remember a song in my head feels when theres two songs I know that have similar beats and chord progressions.
All of these were waaay better than I expected! You absolutely killed it. I recognized the chord progression in X gonna give it to ya, but couldnt place it. It really threw me off when you went to How you remind me because at first I didnt even catch that it was the "wrong" lyrics. I could totally see a full acoustic song with softly wrapped verses, sung choruses, then a relatively harsh DMX style angry bridge. Rework the lyrics a little to blend them together and that would be absolutley killer.
Funny what you did with Disasterpiece, Corey Taylor the lead singer of Slipknot did something similar with Spit It Out at his old acoustic sets (don't know if he still does but probably).
Gotta add another comment here asking for a full version of Dig. That was awesome. The worlds so cold without it, it would definitely make me happy. please don't forget to remember, it would be great to fall into sleep to. That short version is never enough, it just makes me a dull boy. Okay, I'll quit now. BrrBrrDeng.
This is a fun concept - some of them remind me a bit of those "slow, mournful covers" of pop & metal songs that became really popular movie & game trailer fodder for the past few years. You definitely nailed the vibe on them though. That first transition had me cracking up too, saw it coming and you didn't disappoint haha!
And of course, you made every single song sound beautiful nevertheless. Incredible as always! Especially loved you comment on Eskimo Callboy btw. Exactly my opinion on them as well.
Quoting myself at the beginning of this video. "problem is, he's gonna make 'em all work on acoustic". Haha. Love the channel. Love your content. Thank you.
A full rose of Sharyn cover with that acoustic would be awesome, either as your own style or queen (thinking highlander who wants to live forever) . Or scratch that, do who wants to live forever in 20 styles and do the styles of the “27” club . Hendrix, cobain, aviici etc
See, anything can work as an acoustic song with a little reworking and some thinking outside the box. All of these sounded great to me. Some more than others. I bet whoever suggested Dig isn´t laughing as they expected xD That was a freaking awesome rendition dude, right on!!!
