J'ai hâte à l'ouverture des autres antennes du REM. J'espère qu'il y aura un mode de transport structurant dans l'est de la ville aussi. Merci pour le voyage !
0:01 → Brossard ..... 2:04 → Du Quartier ..... 6:08 → Panama ..... 11:12 → Ile des Soeurs ..... 18:22 → Place Bonaventure Honestly I like the video and even if I have never visited Montreal (I am from Japan), it looks like Tokyo (Chiyoda Line), maybe its a "copy and paste" project (train colors, station doors, overhead catenaries) but it is not revolutionnary "(^ . ^)"... I just hope the line will continue to the East for more citizens/accessibilities.
The Alstom Metropolis generally has a maximum speed of 80km/h in service, which is often reached on various segments (particularly the Samuel-De-Champlain Bridge). This speed is likely to also be reached on various of the future segments expected to open by the end of the year. We are not aware of any speed restriction during our visit, but the travels times do match the scheduled one, so it should match general expectations. -David
We have some videos with on-board audio. Sometimes during recording, there is stuff that is best not included so out of prudence, it becomes a music backed video only.
It's hard to believe you wouldn't build a brand new system with a top speed so low. 100/km hr should be the minimum. It's embarrassing to watch the cars whiz past.
To be clear, while currently the top speeds are 80kmh, the system itself has a top speed of 100kmh, which it should achieve on some of the longer segments. We are not exactly sure why we have yet seen those speeds (particularly on the Champlain bridge), but ut is definitely a great feeling to rush past all the traffic during rush hour at a known and predictable pace. Maybe once the Anse-A-L’Orme and Deux-Montagnes branches open we’ll see the increased speeds!
Very good Video....👍
I enjoyed it very much👍

I thought it traveled faster than that speed

Thanks @@RailFansCanada
Sorry. The music ruins this 😞
Music is fine, which is exceptionally rare for this kind of videos, however, live sounds of engines, announces and people aboard are always better
