besides the finale i think this was my fav ep of this season, caleb grew on me REAL fast and it hurt that he had to go, really love how chill ur reactions are to watch, keep it up :)
Lucifer basically told both Eve AND Chloe that they need to stop trying to change him to whatever they think is best for him, and just let him be. He was a bit nicer to Chloe than Eve, but the message was the same. Both were pulling at him.
Yes, _"change"_ was a big thing earlier in the season. Chloe: _"You don't have to be. You could change."_ Lucifer: _"But what if I can't? Could you accept me like this?"_ It's always poison in a relationship to *conditionally* _"accept"_ someone based on some hoped-for change.
Eve was a temptation. Reminding him who he was before, when he was in vulnerable position. His hedonistic devilself, who doesn't care what happens to the others while creating chaos just selfish acts etc (Chloe referenced that in season 1 episode 5 told him that he causes chaos and doesn't even care and that he has a god complex.) But we see that Lucifer has grown and how he hates his old self but at the end of season 3 his devil face has returned. Since then he hates himself so he has his devil face and wings. On the other hand Chloe has witnessed that how good he has became before saw his devil face. Lets be real he never acted like a devil around her before. She was trying to remind him that he has changed become a better man just like she reminded herself. But the problem is Lucifer doesn't feel that way so he doesn't like that either even tho he admitted that the work (chloe) makes him want to be better man (also a reference to season 3 episode 7) before that cop getting killed. So his hatred for himself affects him so bad that he can't portrayed himself as a good. Thousonds of years blaming by others and by himself for being evil versus 2+ years working with her.. won't erase it quickly, now that the wounds are open and he can't blame God for his devil face or wings anymore.
*Chloe can't catch a break!* Lucifer is still hurting over the betrayal, and still taking jabs at Chloe, such as his snide remark about Chloe and Kinley _"conjuring up new ways to send [him] back to hell"._ Chloe could have played her response better, as well -- perhaps with a *sincere, heartfelt apology!* Chloe is sort of taking comfort in Lucifer planning to break up with Eve, secretly hoping that will auto-magically make things just sort of passively go back to normal with Lucifer, (not unlike Lucifer when Chloe broke up with -Eve's oldest son- _)._ But Lucifer _"unchoosing"_ Eve doesn't mean he's choosing Chloe. Neither Eve nor Chloe has *demonstrated* acceptance of *ALL* that Lucifer is. Lucifer still hasn't received a *satisfactory* answer to his _"show stopper"_ question of 4x03 -- _"Could you accept me like this?"_
NGL, the scene with Amenadiel trying to protect Caleb from those racist cops was emotional. And shows you the reality of both police brutality and standing up for what's right. And Amenadiel encountering this everyday problem for the first time
Would you consider reacting to IMPOSTERS, an amazing show with INBAR LAVI (Eve from LUCIFER) in the main role, you would love it!!! And it only has 20 episodes so you could finish it pretty fast! THANK YOU!!! :)
Amenadiel and Caleb was sad but the real heartbreak here was Lucifer dumping Eve. How can this be?! How can any sane person dump Eve?! The horror! ARGH! ;-)
When Lucifer without question said to Amenadiel "I will drive" Is just so emotional. That's true brotherhood right there.

One of the most satisfying and deserved beat downs in TV history.

I totally agree! And btw I love the way you write your comments :) It's always so much fun to read
Eve is a chameleon, she adapts to her environment, but who is she really?
