It’s important for understanding the text and themes - why characters behave in certain ways, but there are no marks allocated for it on the mark scheme. (If you study Edexcel - it’s different for other exam boards).
You need to look at the Gothic genre so the motifs of religion, and supernatural, also how weather is used as a symbolism. Can also look into if its an epistolary (letter) part of the novella or the epilogue (reveal ending)
Look out for epistolary form (letters). Different narrative perspectives (particularly when there is blurring of 1st/3rd person when Jekyll is recounting experiences of Hyde). Good luck tomorrow!
