Watching your videos helps me calm down my anxiety. I first heard about York thanks to you in 2014. I had always wanted to visit its lovely spots since then and I finally got the chance in September 2015. It is not so easy for us to get visa and see those beautiful places whenever we want, however, one of the things that keeps me motivated through hard times is to be able to visit there once again. Thank you for existing and sharing these wonderfully peaceful moments with us. Love 🥰

Three of my favourite things!
Our graduation class went to England this spring, we stayed in Scarborough and went on many day trips to places in Yorkshire, such as Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, and York ❤ It was truly the happiest time in my life, with some of my best memories with my best friends and I honestly fell in love with Yorkshire. Watching your videos brings me back to that feeling, and please don’t ever stop making them, it brings me so much joy. Please keep making videos of different places in England and Yorkshire, it gives me so much nostalgia. Much love from Sweden ❤🇸🇪
I’m so excited you’re making the move to York! I had commented before that I was married there, and we lived there for the first couple of years of our marriage before we moved back to my home in the Buffalo, New York area. I know my husband still misses being home in York, and watching your videos, we are reminded of so many happy times we had walking around the city. Simple, lovely times…we were just talking about how on Saturday nights he would pick me up from work at Lancôme in Debenham’s, stop for a quick drink at The Punch Bowl in Stonegate, and run to Mass at St Wilfrid’s across the street from the Minster. Wonderful memories of our beautiful city. All the best to you in your move…we will be anxious to follow your progress!🌻🍂🍁🧡🧡

Hi Claire, I hope you're having a lovely December. I don't know if you've ever seen the books published by pan macmillan but the model they used for "Pygmalion and other plays" looks so much like you. My first thought was; Did Claire model for the artist? Thought I'd share. Oh and their pocket classics are fantastic for taking on a stroll. Happy reading!
York's lovely, I live close enough it's pretty easy to visit .Not so sure I could manage living in a tourist hotspot but you're a pro with London and York under you're belt so guess it's like water of a duck's back.
I honestly think it’s because I live like a tourist! I like being close to museums and galleries etc and having lots of wonderful places in walking distance. I also just love living in cities (though I prefer small ones like York!) so I think everyone is different.

My husband and I took our first trip away from our son to York. Absolutely fell in love with it! Such a gorgeous city, especially this time of year (and Christmas!). We've since been back and I think it's now our 'yearly night away from the children ' destination!
In fact, I'm taking notes from this video of places to visit when we go next year!

I haven't been to York since I was a child. Probably about 10. I will be 60 in a couple of weeks,so I think I should return😂. Hubby and I are getting our new campervan soon, and plan our first long trip in March. This will be York,thanks to your vlogs on the city. My hubby has never been. York is a wonderful city, many bookshops, but if you love book shops might i suggest you take a trip to Alnwick and visit Barter Books its in the old railway station there, you can take any books you dont need for cash or shop credit, to spend in there.
I love Barter Books! My family are from Northumberland so it’s a much beloved place for me
