    Overall not bad,but I would have worked on that left quarter more,than when you installed the rear body panel you could have had the factory seams exposed making it,look like it came off the assembly line.good video,your paint guy’s work is impressive.😎😎😎👍👍👍

ANYTHING you skip now will cost 10x as much to redo later, and it still won't look as good as if you do it at the most opportune time.

    Could have used some silicone bronze Cusi3 wire to weld/braze up those seams. Cusi3 gives a more ductile weld which doesn't crack. This would have been better in this application. Because this type of weld is softer it also gives u the opportunity to grind the seams back in making it look aesthetically correct.

    There's no need to rush this kind of project car and take too many shortcuts while welding and casually applying seam sealer.

  • @joshparks269

    A couple of questions…. So are you still building the S2000 swapped e30 m3 or is that no longer happening because of this one?
    Second, why install the engine just to get it covered in body dust, why not leave it out and do the engine bay, along with the rest of the car since it’s all being redone anyways?? Doing the engine bay would give it that chefs kiss once it’s completed! Not doing it would just make it look out of place to see a car so slick and beautiful and then to pop the hood and see that massive engine but a bay that was skipped and not repainted with the rest of the car… if I were going this far with a car, I would do the bay as well, since it’s all being done anyways - it’s the 10% left out…

    • @Motorheadco
      @Motorheadco  7 месяцев назад

      The engine bay has a fresh paint job before engine was installed

    • @joshparks269
      @joshparks269 7 месяцев назад

      @@Motorheadco ohhh that’s right, you showed that and talked about it in the video when you picked it up, totally forgot about that. But even then, I would’ve left the engine out so that you didn’t get it covered in the sanding dust, filler dust, and all of the other airborne contaminates - but that’s just my opinion…
      So what about the s2000 swapped one that you were building? Did you sell it off or junk it?

    I think you got lazy, that driver quarter is warped, you had to pry the panel in and you removed the flange that held the back panel in and took the lazy way out welding in the seam. For a car you claim to love so much you took a BIG shortcut that hurts the value of the car. Not my car I know but disappointed in you.
