The SR-1 C is the repair center for the SR-1 target. It is the reduced size target of NRA Highpower for use at 100 yards when the SR target isn't used at 200 yards. It's for the standing and sitting portion of the match.
I always found that Bullseye targets are good for competition but not training. I like the Anatomical targets without scoring rings for the very reason you stated, bad guys don't come with scoring rings. The one thing I don't like about most anatomical targets and it is shown in your video is that most have the bullseye in the center mass or the target but not in the upper chest cavity where you really want your rounds to land. I'm retired now but even when I had to qualify at work I thought the targets should be more in the line of your last target you presented.
Thanks for viewing and taking the time to comment! I couldn't agree more, makes you pick the spot and narrow your focus. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I use standard silhouette targets and use a large tip wedge marker to draw a rectangle approximately four inches wide from the diaphragm to the sternal notch. In other words the entire sternum.
Thank you so much for viewing and the kind words! I did a lot of instruction on the Fire Department I retired from so I have a bit of practice. Hope you continue to enjoy the content and have a safe and Happy New Year!
Fun targets lower your standard of accuracy. Well my family loves the battle ship targets. Really reinforces making every single shot count and good trigger control. We can use them at 5 yards for pistol, 25 yards for carbine and 100 yards for warming up on our longer range rifles
Very good video. Completely agree. There is a bag guy target out there where vital organs are imposed on the target. The reverse of this target has multiple other type targets. Utilize this target every time out
Why don't defense training targets have the heart and lungs realistically depicted on them? Are we weakly dodging the antigun crowd? I practice on animal targets that have organs depicted.
A 5.5" aiming area? Ironic, isn't it? That's the exact size of the "black" rings of a standard 25 yard Bullseye target that has been in use for about a 150 years! I NEVER use silhouette type targets. EVER. No orange stickers or targets that ooze fluorescent paint. No 3 dot sights. No colored sights. All of it is H○r$€$#¡T. Multiple Bullseye targets. Black on black sights. Focal points...........between the eyes, or the button on his shirt closest to the pump.

Thanks for watching and only 8's and 9's will do. Happy Holidays!!

I'm certain that missing a shot, is a nightmare for all responsible firearm owners. ...As we're all responsible for everything that leaves the barrel.

The targets in center red is lower on body than FBI TARGETS. Please explain.
I got lots of ATF canine targets and FBI pregnant woman targets on sale. Almost out of DHS patriot/oath keeper ones.
