- What's it like to start a new insulin pump- specifically the ONLY tubeless insulin pump??? Come along for the three day journey of setting up for training, inserting the first pod, and my initial thoughts on what it feels like to be a podder.
Hi! Just came across this video. I have been diagnosed for just 1.5 months and this video was very clear and helps me to get to know more about the omnipod 😊
Thanks, Emma! I'm glad you found some useful information in it :) It's all a bit overwhelming at first, isn't it? Wishing you all the best as you journey down this road
Thank you Laura , I have enjoyed watching your video, as I am just going to start using a omnpod dash on the 4 th February , so I am looking forward to that . Looking forward to seeing your Videos in the future . THANK YOU Linda Charman Northumberland England
That's so exciting, Linda! Thanks for leaving a comment to let me know you enjoyed the video. I've got another video that I put up before Christmas about decorating and changing my pod- maybe something for you to watch while you prepare to start in Feb 😊

Yes, please, do a diagnosis story😊
I’ve been t1d for 13 years and haven’t used a pump before. I think MDI is great for me but I’m about to try out the OmniPod Dash soon!! So excited. Thanks for making this video! Super helpful :) I’m @kelseydarley on Instagram ❤️
Aw, I'm glad it was helpful to you, and I hope your transition to the pump goes smoothly :) I'm really liking the Omnipod now that I've settled in with it. I'd love to hear what you think once you have it!
I got my omnipod dash today!!!
Yay!!! So exciting :D
What does it work for lantus or humalog
Hi, Angel! The Omnipod only uses fast-acting insulin. I use Humalog in mine, but you could also use Novolog, Fiasp, or whichever fast-acting insulin you typically use. You no longer need a long-acting insulin like Lantus because you get a steady drip of basal insulin from the pump instead.
