Thank you for this video! Enabled me to get my saw going without having to drop it off at the shop again. My Husky is also newer - seems to have a retention collar on that pinwheel pin, so the pin always stays locked into the cover.
Glad I could help!
Hope you are willing to share and subscribe to help others save money as well!

Just purchased a new Husky 455 Rancher. The scrench that they include now incorporates a tool to reset the spring/chain brake band easily. I’m sure they can be purchased separately.
Awesome!
Thanks for sharing that!
Thank you very much for the explanation. It helped me a lot to understand how it works.

Very funny.

Yup I'm the struggle for an hour guy😅😂
Bummer.
Hope the video helped!
Ah ha!! ...the pin is the "key"!😃 After struggling with this for 30 minutes I was hoping that somebody made a video about this since it's not exactly obvious.🤔 The brake drum kept "ringing" like a hotel desk bell 🛎and was really annoying the #@*! out of me!🤬
Thank you! Perfect and to the point video!
I felt exactly the same way when it happened to me. I thought, why can’t I find a video to help me! So, once I fixed the issue I broke it again to make the video. Really glad it’s helping so many people!
LET ME SEE IF I AM LIKE WITH YOU 1) I replaced a new carb on my HUSQ. 326 after many attempted it started but after a few minutes it died...
Can you suggest me what to look for ?? 2) THE SPRING IN THE CLUTCH COME OFF IT TOOK ME HOURS TO PUT IT BACK ...what should
I do if it happens again ?
You’ll have to compress the spring and get it back in place. A real pain. Check out the other comments, there is a tool available that helps compress the spring.
@@HowToVideoChannel Thank you for your replay I think I will make one as I work with steel ...
May ask you how come there are air bubbole (?) in the fuel lines ?
Somehow air got in there.
Fill it with fuel so the fuel goes in the line.
Awesome video thx your Amazon smiles link didn’t work
Thanks for the support.
Unfortunately, Amazon no longer contributes to charity and they discontinued Amazon Smiles.
How to put the spring back in the cover
Compress the spring. A difficult process. I placed a board over the cover and then used a flat screwdriver to push the spring down. You could also use clamps or a vise.
Saved me alot of anger
Great to hear!
On thais chainsaw, which I think is the 235E, only one bolt get tight the cover, my the other bolt goes down when I push the cover in place, My is missing something, a nut? To hold the other bolt? The front one. Help please.
You are having trouble putting the cover on because it isn’t lining up with the bolts?
@@HowToVideoChannel Sorry, I wasn't clear enough with my explanation. The cover goes on fine, but the bolt that has threads on it, and I don't see what secures the bolt. My 455 Rancher has two nuts. This one only secured the cover against the bar, and the other bolt is there just so the cover does not twist?
So the bolts don’t go through the cover?
Perhaps there is a plastic knob that you turn on the cover that the bolt is supposed to go into.
You may want to Google search an exploded parts diagram of that model saw. Maybe one of the parts you have is the wrong one and that could be the issue.
@@HowToVideoChannel No, it's the original cover, that is how this old model is made. I mounted it, I guess the other bolt is just a post, no nuts. Look a the video and you will see what I'm talking about. Only the knob tight one bolt. I hammered the other bolt in to stay in place. Too bad that I can't post a picture here.
Yeah, pictures would be nice.
Damn, that's why I can't get the cover off!!
I didn't pull the brake first.
Glad the video helped!
Good work .. Thankyou!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
i love you
Glad to hear that!
😢👍
Hope it helped!
I can't even get mine off lol.
Ah man!
it's a stupid design causing wasting a lot of time for the consumers... Husqvarna should have recalled their products..US consumer agency should have banned their products.
It has caused a lot of problems.
Hopefully, this video helps!
