This made me laugh a little too hard. I see they haven't strayed too far from the on-the-nose writing, but I never really played for the storyline anyway
we sure that's an Elder and not a Flying Wyvern?
@@Hikari_Kazehana yeah its 100% a lightning wyvern, cuz 4 limbs only (2 legs + 2 wings) while most elder dragons have 6 limbs (4 +2 wings), but there are some exceptions, they have only 4 limbs but no wings (Lao Shanlung) or zero limbs but are gigantic like dalamadur
But it looks so much like a flying wyvern. I mean I get the limbs part, but that thing only has 2 wings, 2 legs, and if that's the first region you got to in the game, how do you deal with an elder dragon ar the very beginning?

@@ItsRainingTrees for the love of god, go buy monster hunter World + iceborne dlc. They are on sale currently. Even as a casual player that's easy 200 hours of playtime, I for myself sit at a 1000 currently. You will not regret it and also can learn the weapons and base mechanics for wilds already

Since it's appearance, Rey Dau became already my second favorite flying wyvern from the whole franchise. I love it so much.

In case anyone is confused, the rose spider was surprisingly inspired by the Astalos. The developer has shared commentary on it quite extensively in a short article.
Is it talking about how astalos is based of a dragonfly and has those quick insect like movements? I can deffinately see it in the way the spider moves and i adore it ❤

I love Monster Hunter. There was so much love poured into World/Iceborne that I can only imagine how good Wilds can be. One of the best franchises and the best developers in the world. They work and create from a place of love. It's amazing.
