  • Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 9:00PM in Da Nang, Vietnam, the Dragon Bridge puts on a show that shouldn't be missed. Crowds gather as fire and water spews from the dragon bridge's mouth. In this video, I make my way from the popular Bếp Cuốn Đà Nẵng Restaurant to the Dragon Bridge, and then walk across to the other side.

The bridge is such an imaginative piece of design. Making a dragon into a bridge like this . And the waivy guardrail is so cool.

I was in the area many times in 1967-1968 with the 196th light infantry. There was no asphalt back then at the bridge 😊😊

it's not a wedding. whenever you see the multicolor flags, it represents Buddhism. what you saw was a Buddhist ceremony or holiday. there were monks gathering inside and the incense were offerings.

Great content AK ! Stay safe out there. I’ve noticed your views are not very high. Maybe you should change your location and been in Vietnam for too long. Just a thought.
With your high subscriber amount, you should have many more views 🧐

I really want to go to Vietnam for a few months, to see if I'd like to live there for awhile. It was suggested to me that since I live in the Midwest and am not use to extremely hot Vietnam weather, I may only want to try a 2 week vacation because of the high humid weather. Do they have air conditioning in their apartments and houses

The French built couple of highland station resort towns to escape the heat: Sapa, Tam Dao, Da Lat. Even in Da Nang the French built a small Bana village on the mountain, now they expanded to a big theme park, the temperature in Da Nang and Bana change significantly despite being in the same area. Highland central Ban Me Thuot, Dac Lak, Pleiku weather are very pleasant. Coastal beach cities are very breezy at night, despite the heat in the morning, Good luck with your trip

I love Asia but crossing the street is a 'frustrating adventure' in some cities. I feel bad for old people and anyone with a handicap because it becomes truly dangerous.

10mins in the alley way that's a family funeral not a restaurant or temple, you can see family wearing white rag linen and white bands around their heads. People passes away at home so they prepared at home and set up tables and chairs like that for neighbours, friends and family come pay respect for 2-3 days. The family take turn stay up 24hrs with monks or priest to pray and receive guests, even kneel beside the coffin to bow at the guests, too much rituals, very tired. When they take the coffin away, the carrier guys will lower one side to make the coffin bow 3 times at their houses to say goodbyes.
Vietnamese believe it's good luck to go out and see a funeral, so nothing to fear.
Same goes for weddings, they will set up tables and chairs like that but bigger 2-3 days in the cities and sometime 1 week in the country side, just drinking and singing. Nowadays people celebrate at banquets due to limited space at home, but if they have big house or houses in the alley ways like this they will take up the alleyway since there's not much traffic, and neighbours understand they don't call the cops on you, because they all will do it one time or another .
