Possibly the most underrated band of their era

Super Furries are a great band. More from them: Ice Hockey Hair, Demons, Hometown Unicorn, Run Away

Hiya Thank you for reaction . This is a really good band . I don’t think this album was as well received . If I remember right it was a push into the mainstream. Especially the US . Lots of money thrown at it and a more commercial and easily digested for mainstream music fans . It was a disappointing album I thought . But their catalogue is awesome. I thought there was Beach Boys harmonies . Couldn’t see Status Quo at all in this lol . Paul McCartney loved them So did John Cale . Very creative and experimental. The Man Don’t Give A Fuck live is incredible. There’s an outdoor festival Gig online from New York and best version I’ve seen of The Man Don’t Give a Fuck . Interesting lyrics too . Thank you for a different type of reaction to other channels 💚Xx

Seems like a mix of 60’s singing on 80’s techno

Their best track is 'The Man Just Don't Give A F**k'. The full version. Turns into a full blown rave at the end. Proper banger.

Massive 70s sound on this, makes me think of Silver Machine by Hawkwind a bit as well as others.

Gruff Rhys pronounced Griff like the first part of grifter, and Rhys is like the Reese in Reese Witherspoon. The Gruff is a native Welsh speaker and English is his second language

Love the Super furries, seen them live a few times. Always been very creative, Fuzzy logic was one of the great debut albums of the 90’s, great reaction and top request 👏🏻

Coming up on 20 years of enjoying SFA, I really like this album, this song underneath all the noises and talking clips has, to me, a crunchy _Beatles - Revolution-esque_ vibe to it that holds it together. The noises are a bit long relative to the rest of the song, it fits in better on the album, and it also reminds me of Floyd on The Wall! McCartney's appearance on this album is literally just chewing celery and carrots over the phone on _Receptacle For The Respectable_ . They're an eclectic, excellent band, I think they got objectively better on each album but they also shifted styles so much I respect any one who likes their "early" or "middle" period.

SFA are superb. They do quirky, know how to write a hook, but also really beautiful songs - If You Don't Want me To Destroy You, The Piccolo Snare, Ohio Heat. Gruff is a very creative guy and his solo albums are worth checking out.

" If You Don't Want me To Destroy You" has such a simple beautiful chorus.

I liked this a lot.I should pick up some of their albums. I do have Gruff Rhys' solo album "Candylion", it's awesome. Rhys likes to promote the Welsh language so I do know they have a lot of songs in Welsh.

They blatantly just copied The Beach Boys here.

They have better tracks than this. Songbook was a singles collection album they released and it's tune after tune after tune on that!
