That 3 1/8” Angustiden has an awesome shaped root! Very nice tooth. Nice makos too. I would love to see a video that covers your whole collection. Some of us have been watching you for years, through the growth of the “wheezling”, snorkeling the edisto, and all the other creek walks, land sites etc. I’d love to see a video of your collection. I bet it huge and amazing.
thanks for watching my whole collecting life, you've seen a lot! the collection is pretty big but its VERY disorganized. the old stuff is not so bad, its in rikers, shelves, boxes, and map drawers but the newer stuff is overwhelming. we hunt as much as we can, often every day so I am woefully behind on posts and the stuff I haven't posted yet is sitting around in flats, containers, bags, laying loose on the counter, stashed in corners, piled on shelves, etc, so I can keep it separate until I post it. now add in Diva's stuff too and you can see the scope of the mess. but I do intend to post collection videos someday but at this rate it will be when I am too old to collect haha!
that's weird that the proto-Gw makos always have full roots, but the fully evolved GWs have roots that break down so easily, even tho the species and therefore specimens are younger.
a small rake would work for the gravel in the sand but not when its in the clay. its stuck in there pretty good, we have to pry it out sometimes. the shovel helps move more material. I use a 4 prong rake to hunt in spoil piles sometimes.
@@Str8Flossin you might be onto something there. I haven't had any meg dreams lately, but I had some great ones through the years. I thought about posting the footage but all the gopro showed was me drooling on my pillow while I was snoring 😄
thanks for recording all the finds in this one. That Angy its too nice!
thanks for watching I do it for y'all!
the SP spot continues to deliver! That angi was a screamer for sure!
dude it is amazing how productive that spot is!

That angustiden is killer
it could cut meat!
Ummmm can’t say Dark Side without taking the FORCE with you. I’m here waiting for my sloth party invite. 😂
clever!!
If I hold my breathe waiting for that invite I’m gonna look like the girl in Willy Wonka. 😂😂😂
@@ReturnoftheCollector lol!
we all get seduced by the dark side, they have cookies and big shark teeth :0)
lol for sure! 😄
I don't know why but I get the best luck when finding shark teeth at night.
for me, i think its because the light forces me to focus on a specific area so I notice more.

thats a puzzler, isn't it? we find a lot of makos with junky roots too but it seems like a higher proportion of the great whites have bad roots.
Just a question..why not use a small rake?

Nice dig. Like how you were using the water to your advantage. Possible to get an 8 hour “shovel crunch sounds” dark screen for sleep video?!?
you could sleep to that sound? It would hype me up to go digging!
@@blackriverfossils most definitely. I think it would promote lucid Meg dreams.

what kinda sites do you guys typically look in?
we look anywhere dirt or water is moving. most places have nothing so it takes a lot of searching.
