This is partly why cyberpunk is so good; because of how dynamic the gameplay is. You can guns blaze. Stealth. Hack. Melee. Pistol etc etc etc so many different ways to approach things
@@danielfortytwo just having a good sandbox doesn't necessarily mean its an immersive, though cybperbunk definitely achieves that often outside of the main story missions

This. It's so laughably apparent that in some games developers literally leave gaps that they intentional expect modders to fill in for them to save time. See it all the time in co-op games you'll be able to bring up player cards for you and your team on tab and it'll have their name on it. 6 weeks after release everyone will be running a simple QoL mod that has populated the 90% empty space on the player card with their health bar, ammo count, ability/gear/ultimate/special/whatever, armour etc. Another biggy is they'll cut content but leave it unlocked in the files so it can literally be finished and incorporated by anyone that wants to sink a few hundred hours into it.
100%. I was already modding stuff for Skyrim, Fallout 4 and later jff also for Elden Ring and Atomic Heart, but what got me really into modding was CP2077. I started to learn 3D-modellation in Blender and scripting - and now I already released mods on Nexus and several Discords. The modding options are almost limitless thanks to CD Project Red (REDmod) and the community tools / frameworks (WolvenKit, CET, RED4ext, REDscript, TweakXL/ArchiveXL etc.), which is literally the reason for this insane amount of various different mods. Without any doubt one of the best modding communities in the history of gaming.
From the small amount of them i got a chance to try being on the console side of things, yeah, those mods are so fun to use. I must've played through fallout 4 over 200 times because of the mods. I can imagine how much fun i'd have if i got a chance to try pc gaming- there's so many games that has mods on the platform.
@@EnvenomYT There was a funny quote from one of Trepang²'s levels where the missable boss - called "Targets of Interest" - furiously name-called his mercenaries as *_"MALL COPS"_* that's since become a meme in the game's community. Bullet sponge was always the biggest immersion break for me in Cyberpunk. In some games if an enemy is tanking lots of high-velocity rounds it won't necessarily pull me out and remind me I'm playing a game if it's done in a grounded contextual way e.g. it's hitting advanced body armour and they're still physically reacting to the impacts by staggering and becoming incapacitated through effective suppression. Most games though it's just bullet sponge on bullet sponge with jumping and dancing around... Find it totally impossible to forget it's a game.
0:36 dude, just that brought such a big smile on my face. It takes me back to my childhood playing, when I was playing the classics on the ps2 and 360. They certainly don't make em like that anymore.
And the awesome thing is - you can implement all these things PLUS hundreds of other mods without the need to deinstall. And then you just play the game like a "tactical stealth game" the one day and the other day you play like a fully chromed Terminator-Cyberpsycho. CP2077 modding = heaven for free minds.

Phantom Liberty takes heavy inspiration from Metal Gear Solid series. It’s so blatant it’s hard not to see it. Mgs is one my all time favs so noticing all the details was spectacular.
Ok, the music makes all the difference! Cause when I kill someone with silencer even in another building across the town - suddenly everybody knows that and I'm not stealth anymore.

Am I the only one that absolutely hated the auto rifles in cyberpunk? Recoil is too bouncy for them, they don't feel powerful or rewarding and they all sort of look the same. Like smgs fire fast, and usually kill equally fast, Snipers always pack a punch, shotguns are clinky and clanky and it feels like a real weapon - the list goes on but the auto rifles? They're just like... boring I really like the gun mod he uses cause the rifle actually feels like a lethal weapon
To be honest we probably will have M4 based derivatives in 2077. We use many weapons today that are decades if not a century or more old. They get updates cosmetically, the parts get lighter or the materials change but the operation and design of the internals more or less stays the same. The M4 as a mechanism ignoring it's shell which is all civilians see has been in use for 6+ decades now. So in 2077 will it be called an M4? Likely no. Will M4 derivatives exist? Most likely yes.
Thats exactly why i hate "STEALFS" gameplay. Imagine sitting behind the control panel of the cameras and suddenly them starting to die one by one, and the people on the posts are not responding. The main thing is the hardcore mod which lets you one shot enemies but you can also get one shot. The build doesn't matter too much just pick the guns you want to use.
thats so immersion breaking why do you want to pin point were the enemies are takes away the element of suprise that kills the dopamine hit you get when a enemy pops out of nowhere other than that cool mods
Pssh, if you're using a netrunning build that's cheating. You can literally look at people and turn their ears and eyes off. To be a true Sam Fisher/Garrett, you should run with body, tech, cool and reflex, zero hacking. Doing this for my current playthrough from start to finish, and it's a really fun way to play... makes you notice environmental details a lot more, forces you to directly interact with everything to a greater degree, because you can't magically trigger distractions remotely, to mark targets you have to actually see them first, and to deal with security systems you have to actually find a terminal.
Doing the same build with my current playthrough ahhaha just a katana, A silenced smg and smart assault rifle, all my points in reflexes, tec and body, because stealth is just an option, I go straight to face to face combat sometimes hahahaha
my problem with stealth in this game is that it takes away all challenge, id love to do stealth but even at hardest difficulty the enemies just never see you and die to 1 shot.
I use enemies of Night City mod, which makes stealth much much harder. You have to be extremely careful as enemies are also much more aggressive, tactical and smarter. I also adjusted some of the health modifiers in the mod so they don't just get 1 shot by a pistol, this is Night City where people can buy subdermal armor and implants making them resistant to bullets and explosives.
I have installed the hardcore22 mod after watching this video but I don't understand how you are one shooting everything from like 25m away. I still have to shoot people twice in the head from 1m away. That's with a full spec into handguns and a tier 5 fully modded pistol to do max damage with 150% silencer as well. I literally can't one shot anything so how are you doing this??
I haven't done anything special so I'm not sure. Just using the hardcore mod then spawned in the guns and silencers. Also the killer instinct perk in the cool tree, and there are some pistol damage perks in the cool tree.
not sure how i feel about the reskined weapons to make them look like modern guns honest. i kinda feel it detracts from the asthetic of the game which was fairly unique to me
enemies are only alerted by silent weapons if you miss or don't one shot. there is a mod that allows silenced weapons to not alert enemies called "actually silent silencers and throwing knives", although it was not used in this video
