I respect anyone who has the guts to highlight his difficulties driving a very capable car correctly. No one is born experienced at anything. Fastest way to learn is to try new things and listen to good advice. Tune out all the haters who are jealous of your car and have fun, enjoy the experience -that's what counts.

I have a 2019 Redeye Chally and race almost weekly running 10.0 in the summer heat & 9.70-80 in good air. First nobody that races these cars uses launch control it does not work at the strip, period. To launch, foot brake the car to 1300-1500 rpm and roll into the throttle- with the right tires you will get 1.50-1.55 60'. If your going to the strip often you must get some 17" wheels with MT ET Street R's or Hoosier DBR's - no other tires really work consistently well at the track.
Set your custom settings to either Track with manually holding the traction control button until it's off or Suspension=street, Trans=sport or track, Traction=sport. Roll thru the water box onto dry pavement (do not do burnout in water box), do burnout foot braking the car in manual mode starting in first then manual shifting to third until you see white smoke out of both mirrors. Once you see white smoke in third gear let your foot off the brake and roll out on the throttle, you will hear the tires grip and chirp.
Another tip is to leave your interchiller on in the staging lanes to keep intercooler fluid temps down.
99% of the guys racing Hellcat variants (HC, Redeye, Demon) do not use launch control or line lock. They are cool marketing features for Dodge but don't have a lot of value in practice. Almost every car that tries using launch control blows the tires off every time, including mine. Line Lock requires a lot of extra steps at the track when you can just moderately hold the brake pedal during your burn out, and no there are no real adverse effects to the rear brakes.
Your car, on the stock tune should run mid 10's once you get it figured out, that is realistic.

  • @edwmedeiros
    @edwmedeiros 2 года назад +3

You don’t need to use line lock or launch control. You can power brake to heat the tires up. If you heat them up enough and rev it up to about 2000 rpm at the tree you’ll pull out of the hole. Don’t use the paddles and let it shift on its own. The transmission is built for drag racing. If you find yourself spinning just ease up then slowly gas it. It has so much power that you’ll catch and pass most stock cars at the end. You should be in the mid to high 10’s in this car. Just takes time, practice and patience. Try a track rental for the day and you should be able to get used to the car. It takes the pressure off.

Just keep practicing. Launching these cars is an art and takes experience that you can only get with seat time.
I went from a stock '16 HC that ran a PB of 10.68 to a stock '19 Redeye WB that has ran a PB of 10.14 and a 1.43 60 ft.
Your car has a lot more in it. Start by forgetting the launch control and 2nd gear start, none of the record holding Demon racers start in 2nd gear. If you are going to keep the stock Nitto's they need a linger burn out to get warmed up...then just work on your launch procedures and improving your 60 ft.
I'm don't consider myself and expert, but have well over 300 track passes in these cars and would be happy to help with more detailed advice, if interested just hit me up on IG or FB.

several tips, but you will learn over time. you don't have to wear your tires out to get them hot. Ease up on the burnout and find the water/wet area. If you have to lift on the gas pedal you've done something wrong. The car should launch and pull straight. Maybe get used to it with traction control ON, and when you master a few passes turn it off? Good luck

As CPO GTO said, when you do line lock, really stomp on it and do the burnout for like 3-5 seconds till you see smoke. That should help your wheel hop a lot. If I can do 11.589 in my scat pack with a tire and intake, you can easily do a 10.000 or better with the super stock!

Hey there Herr Jugs Racing...just found this vid...you got some good advice from the comments...particularly from Big Nate. The only thing different is that I use line lock rather than hold the brake during the burnout but I think it is whatever you get comfortable doing. I like lifting my thumb to roll out of the burnout rather than my foot. One thing I did not see in the comments was that the Launch Control does time out at 7 seconds (might be 10 seconds now) if I remember...at least on the 2020 models. Interesting that 7 seconds is the amount of time to get staged after the first staged light in either lane is lit otherwise it's a red light for the one who didn't get staged. I don't know anybody who uses launch control at the track but if I were going to do it, it would have to be on a sportsmen tree (not pro tree), shallow stage incase the car jumps, and would use the center console Launch button after I was staged. From what I have read (not experienced since I don't use Launch Control), the feature stays engaged until 60mph then it reverts back to the traction setting you had programed in. Get some tires and you'll hook on the track when it counts.

Paid both cars off 100% and owe nothing, unfortunately I just went through a divorce a year ago and that killed me inside, she didn’t take anything from me which is nice but still in a horrible slump. Also... Men... DO NOT GET MARRIED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
Also... For launch control... Activate it on uconnect. Step firmly on the brake. Then simply floor the had pedal. Brake first and then gas pedal down. Doesn't have to be at the exact same time in fact u will blow it if u try. So activate. Brake firmly. Pedal down a second later.
Next order if business... Don't use launch control. It is the reason why you're ETs suck. Keep the transmission in drive but pull the down shift paddle back and the trans will go into 1st. Brake boost to 1800 rpm let go of brake and roll into the throttle. Practice pedaling it so u are on the knife edge of spinning but not quite smoking them. Because you left the car in drive the car will automatically shift out of first and into second for u at max rpm and it will do so for every gear. That will get u ur quickest ET. Bet.

Just a heads up...I’m sure you are aware, but people love stealing these vehicles, and it’s easy to do. Just know the area you live in....someone is bound to see one of these videos and take it, don’t want you losing what
You worked so hard to get. I can tell
Just by watching a couple min of your video you live off of MM Blvd. I won’t spell out MM so I’m not airing out your location. Just something to be weary of. Anyways, badass ride! I just ordered a jailbreak.

Get some slicks bro don’t mess around with the factory radials. I had to get slicks for my scat pack and I have way less power than you. Also buy some black duct tape and tape off the spots where the rubber goes, that’s what I do. Also launch control in these cars is a gimmick they launch great from foot braking or going off idle. You need a set of 17x11 race stars wrapped in et street r’s so you can dead hook and run a 10.1

It's a free country and we can buy whatever the f##k we want. That said, it looks like you are adopting a trial and error strategy with the last car on planet Earth you want to do trial and error with. That's a recipe for disaster, my friend especially when you have zero experience driving a car with this much power. Stay safe out there.

    Drop air pressure to 19psi
launch the car in auto mode stop trying to shift it yourself
Leave the car. in its drag setting
    1200-1400rpm launch
Launch control is crap forget about it
it will only work with a perfect prepped track
