I respect anyone who has the guts to highlight his difficulties driving a very capable car correctly. No one is born experienced at anything. Fastest way to learn is to try new things and listen to good advice. Tune out all the haters who are jealous of your car and have fun, enjoy the experience -that's what counts.
It's a free country. Even with zero experience, if people have the money they can buy an 807 hp car with drag strip tires and smaller brakes than the Hellcat Redeye.
It looks likes it’s lack patience and skill. Iv seen drag cars with sticky notes to remind guys of the checks and processes. You even choose that gum aggressively.
I have a 2019 Redeye Chally and race almost weekly running 10.0 in the summer heat & 9.70-80 in good air. First nobody that races these cars uses launch control it does not work at the strip, period. To launch, foot brake the car to 1300-1500 rpm and roll into the throttle- with the right tires you will get 1.50-1.55 60'. If your going to the strip often you must get some 17" wheels with MT ET Street R's or Hoosier DBR's - no other tires really work consistently well at the track. Set your custom settings to either Track with manually holding the traction control button until it's off or Suspension=street, Trans=sport or track, Traction=sport. Roll thru the water box onto dry pavement (do not do burnout in water box), do burnout foot braking the car in manual mode starting in first then manual shifting to third until you see white smoke out of both mirrors. Once you see white smoke in third gear let your foot off the brake and roll out on the throttle, you will hear the tires grip and chirp. Another tip is to leave your interchiller on in the staging lanes to keep intercooler fluid temps down. 99% of the guys racing Hellcat variants (HC, Redeye, Demon) do not use launch control or line lock. They are cool marketing features for Dodge but don't have a lot of value in practice. Almost every car that tries using launch control blows the tires off every time, including mine. Line Lock requires a lot of extra steps at the track when you can just moderately hold the brake pedal during your burn out, and no there are no real adverse effects to the rear brakes. Your car, on the stock tune should run mid 10's once you get it figured out, that is realistic.
Use blue painters tape on the lower rear quarters to help with the rubber chunks so next time when you get home from the track you can just peel it off
You don’t need to use line lock or launch control. You can power brake to heat the tires up. If you heat them up enough and rev it up to about 2000 rpm at the tree you’ll pull out of the hole. Don’t use the paddles and let it shift on its own. The transmission is built for drag racing. If you find yourself spinning just ease up then slowly gas it. It has so much power that you’ll catch and pass most stock cars at the end. You should be in the mid to high 10’s in this car. Just takes time, practice and patience. Try a track rental for the day and you should be able to get used to the car. It takes the pressure off.
The slap shifter actually doesn’t work right when in drag mode…it falls on its face! Believe me when I say just let it shift on its own …no paddles no shifter let the A8 do its thing!

The dealer never put the rock guards are on your super stock. LOVE THE car.
What are the rock guards you are referring to?
@@herrjugsracing7816 they go behind the fender and the back bumper
@@stangslideshow1990 Do they look like a piece of tape painted the same color as the car? I do see that behind each wheel. I was thinking maybe some small mud flaps but not sure that would look good.
@@herrjugsracing7816 the dealership sell them, it's hard plastics that clips in and protects your 28000$ paint. Otherwise you get huge rock chips on widebody flares. Zl1 is a aftermarket company that sells them. But DODGE dealership pdi is suppose to install on every 2020 widebody and up.
You gotta learn the car that all
I’ll give u 50k to take over your heartache 😹
How about i get in there and show you how to swing?
Also... Men... DO NOT GET MARRIED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
Also... For launch control... Activate it on uconnect. Step firmly on the brake. Then simply floor the had pedal. Brake first and then gas pedal down. Doesn't have to be at the exact same time in fact u will blow it if u try. So activate. Brake firmly. Pedal down a second later.
Next order if business... Don't use launch control. It is the reason why you're ETs suck. Keep the transmission in drive but pull the down shift paddle back and the trans will go into 1st. Brake boost to 1800 rpm let go of brake and roll into the throttle. Practice pedaling it so u are on the knife edge of spinning but not quite smoking them. Because you left the car in drive the car will automatically shift out of first and into second for u at max rpm and it will do so for every gear. That will get u ur quickest ET. Bet.
Lastly, don't waste too much time with ur girlfriend. Didn't learn from the first divorce eh?
Why not, come on over. And I will not get married again, thank you very much.
@@herrjugsracing7816 if i were in CA I would show u. If u want a video walk thru lemme know. Can do it on my car.
@@batman-telephoneman5479 Hell yes!!!
@@batman-telephoneman5479 can you help me just ordered super stock
@@Hellcattherapy777 only if i can drive it like i drive my SP.
Damn that was a long ass red light!!!!!
I hate that light! 😂
Just a heads up...I’m sure you are aware, but people love stealing these vehicles, and it’s easy to do. Just know the area you live in....someone is bound to see one of these videos and take it, don’t want you losing what
You worked so hard to get. I can tell
Just by watching a couple min of your video you live off of MM Blvd. I won’t spell out MM so I’m not airing out your location. Just something to be weary of. Anyways, badass ride! I just ordered a jailbreak.
Thanks for the heads up. I do know everyone wants the car and I don't leave it alone. It is garaged and I take all the necessary precautions.
Launch control is so unreliable. Power braking allows you to control the variables.
Look at this one ruclips.net/video/DhYxFQ3NmXc/видео.html
Its not the car by any means. Stop shifting from manual mode into auto with the shifter upon launching
Getting better. Did you see this one? ruclips.net/video/KhYnumyPZcE/видео.html
Get some slicks bro don’t mess around with the factory radials. I had to get slicks for my scat pack and I have way less power than you. Also buy some black duct tape and tape off the spots where the rubber goes, that’s what I do. Also launch control in these cars is a gimmick they launch great from foot braking or going off idle. You need a set of 17x11 race stars wrapped in et street r’s so you can dead hook and run a 10.1
I have a different set of tires on it now. I'll put up some new video soon.
Is that manual
No, automatic
It's a free country and we can buy whatever the f##k we want. That said, it looks like you are adopting a trial and error strategy with the last car on planet Earth you want to do trial and error with. That's a recipe for disaster, my friend especially when you have zero experience driving a car with this much power. Stay safe out there.
I'm trying but it is so much fun!
Drop air pressure to 19psi
launch the car in auto mode stop trying to shift it yourself
Leave the car. in its drag setting
1200-1400rpm launch
Launch control is crap forget about it
it will only work with a perfect prepped track
I ran my Redeye on 20 inch rims
1.47 60ft with nitto drag radials
Thanlks!
I ran 10.38@134mph with my 2021 Superstock 1.47 60ft
when I messaged you last time I did not have the car yet
You should try going to bondurant driving school
I have looked into this. Looks like fun!
@@herrjugsracing7816 yes sir, I’m will be going after my car gets here, I’m a little older than you and I need all the edge I can get
@@theogilliam4941 When you getting your car?
@@herrjugsracing7816 I’ve ordered it in March and because of the chip shortage the plant is closed, waiting on plant to open, it is rumored it will be in the fall haven’t got a vin number yet either , so at the time I don’t know when.
Let the car do the work. You don't know how. You are funny. LOL What are you asking for it?
LOL, I got it now if you watch my other videos.
What that junker run
I think the best I did was a 6.9 :(
Should have got a zl1 Camaro
LOL, is it easier to drive??
Idk bro I’m just a Chevy guy even if the challenger is faster in a strait line from factory I’ll always choose the Chevy your car is sweet though bro
@@joshbeck289 I had a 1970 Nova and then a 2000 TransAm, I always go different. I wanted a new corvette but they were marking them way up or the wait was 3 months to order.
Quit doing burn outs trying to dig holes 8n concrete
Okay give it to me then :/
I'm not sure you would want it. The payment is $989.00 a month and then the insurance and gas too. OMG its expensive, did I mention it needs tires after 3,0000 miles. Watch my other video for the tires.
@@herrjugsracing7816 so is 989 not even including the insurance? So what’s the total?
Bc I thinking to get one of these or a corvette or maybe a Supra soon. So I can know specific prices thanks to you, and also what’s your credit score😳😳
Maybe if he had test drove it first he wouldn't have bought it
Nope, it is the most fun car I have ever owned. I can drive the shit out of it now. Watch the other videos as I learn.
Rpm to low 1000
Buy the redeye if u gon complain about tires you federal
; )
Its not the car.You need to learn how to launch it.Spinning isnt winning!
Are you sure its not the car? All it wants to do is spin. It seems to like it. I had a firm talking with it but it doesn't listen to me.
Foot brake the when you racing, and put some Micky Thompson tires on 315/50/17,or mt SS 305/45/ 20 or 18teens.
You buy this car and complain about tire wear, 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Right? lol!
LMAO 🤣🤣🤣
I suck!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Buddy don’t know how to launch properly
Look now and even faster. Just need to put new video up. ruclips.net/video/KhYnumyPZcE/видео.html
U hate it so much pass it down
I would but the bank owns it.
Sorry your skills aren't up to the level of your car. Maybe you need something slower, a Ford perhaps or (Choke choke caught) a Camaro.
Ouch, lol
Ok u cant drive blames the car and then u say u only got 2000miles but yet at the start of the videos your burning them damn tires like crazy so u blame the tires wth lol I don't think the car is the problem bub
No problem here, just lots of fun burning this car down.
Give me it 😂
Lol
It was a struggle for awhile.
